My very first SasuSaku! I'm a n00b (yes, I still say n00b) so please don't kill me. This is a prologue to a somewhat chapter fic, but they're mostly just drabbly oneshots. They do fall in a chronological order and might somewhat hint something from a previous one - but it's good. Kona-chan, I know what you're thinking, but it's pre-Shippuden, and I think NaruSaku should wait until Sasuke leaves.

Besides you said it was cute. Don't read if you don't like.

Summary: And she always wondered why he never said anything when she spoke to him. She really just wanted to hear his voice just a little bit more often.

It started off as a simple question. Simple enough, for say. Let's get this straight first. Sakura Haruno loved Sasuke Uchiha. Though she tried and tried to start a conversation - because that was the only way she could think to ever get him to ask her out - he wouldn't say a word. It wasn't like he said much anyway, but it always stung a little when she didn't here him even simply say, "Hi," when she greeted him. The only time she ever really heard his voice was when she was on a mission. Either she was mumbling to herself or arguing with Naruto over what to do, and he would interject smoothly stating a correction.

Sakura wanted to hear more. She wanted to know how he thought of something so intelligent when she couldn't. Of course, she would never ask on Naruto's behalf, for he is a baka. The baka did seem to have a certain effect on Sasuke, though. Sasuke even had a nickname for him! Well, Sasuke called the blond boy a dobe, but it was all the same. All Sasuke ever called her was Sakura. Not even Sakura-chan…

This is what Sakura was thinking about in yet another silence filled lunch with her team. All was silent - except for Naruto slurping ramen down to the last drop of broth. She looked at Sasuke wonderously. Could it be that that ramen-loving idiot turned him on?

This is exactly why she blurted loudly out of what seemed like nowhere to her beloved, "DO YOU LIKE GIRLS!?"

Sasuke said nothing, of course, but he did look at her in a way that she knew meant "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She said nothing and looked at her lap. Taking a glance up, Sakura noticed that Naruto hadn't heard because he was too busy scarfing down ramen.

"Like?" Sasuke said after a while.

The pinkette's eyes lit up at the word, and she looked up. "Yeah. I mean… are you attracted to them?"

Sasuke's face still hadn't morphed out of that beforementioned look. Finally he looked forward, staring at what seemed like nothing in particular. "Yes."

Sakura was stunned and relieved by this one word answer. Relieved that she stood a better chance than Naruto-baka, and stunned that he had actually answered her question! Little did the raven-haired boy beside her know that this would be the first of many question-answer sessions.

Any good? REVIEW IT OR SCREW IT! I disown Naruto and all that jazz… or do I? *doodoodoo*
