On My Way
Introduction
A/N: I am very aware this is a very short introduction. I wanted to test the waters a bit and see if there would be any interest from some of my readers from almost a decade ago. I'm not sure how often I will be able to update this as I am in the last semester of my masters program. I graduate in December so I will have some semblance of a "normal" life after that. This story idea actually came to me in a dream last night ironically and I already have much planned.
Also sidenote – I am in touch with Jademax who co-wrote Semper Fi with me. There is a possibility of a continuation with that so keep your eyes peeled.
Anyway I hope you've all been well and for those that have stuck around and want to see more from me – thank you.
Sorrow. Darkness. Aching depths of unexplainable nothingness.
Kimberly thrashed and turned in her sleep, chestnut hair soaked with sweat as she felt the pain of past wash over her the cloud of evil pushing the once agile crane into a flightless demise. Arms were unconsciously held above her head as if they were shackled in rusted cold tight chains that tore her skin each time she moved probing a loud shriek to escape in a cry.
"Pink Ranger."
The voice in a much too soon much too familiar voice called out.
"No…stay away."
"Oh now Kimmie that's no way to greet an OLD friend."
Kimberly's vision was clouded by smoke laced with a deep crimson color a color almost mirroring blood and the mirror thought made her sick to her stomach as the thoughts swarmed her mind, her subconscious taking her from dream to dream or rather nightmare to nightmare. There was no question whom the voice belonged to. The tyrant witch who was one part of two that took her away from one of the most if not the most important times of her life only leaving her filled with empty regrets and memories that had faded into glimpses or fragments.
Her body was immobilized, numb at the very best. No matter how much she willed herself to move it was impossible. She gasped as the sensation of a somewhat thick liquid fell against her legs and as her doe eyes moved up she saw 5 hovering forms – red, yellow, blue, black, and…white. As their helmets dematerialized her body thrashed as she gazed in horror at their lifeless forms, wide dead eyes left depicted with the last frightened image they each saw before their lives. Her scream drowned out Rita's manic laugh, her tears blinding her already blurry vision. Each form faded away with a light and as they disappeared from sight a golden rain cascaded down as the remnants of the power coins turned to piles of dust much like Goldar had done many years before.
It was almost as if she was in a trance, the pain of seeing her lifeless friends shocking her body into an uncontrollable tremor her mind void of thoughts taken over just by pain. A white gloved hand reached out and grasped her throat, pushing the brunette back into the chamber's wall. Small yet strong hands grasped the wrist, her body taking over to fight as she tried desperately to gain the upper hand the need for air dulling the breaking of her heart and soul. As the smoke moved away her eyes gazed upon the White Ranger's lifeless form, red manic haunting eyes and a laugh that sent daunting chills down her spine left her gasping for air bring her out of her nightmare.
