Ginny and Draco had left, so, gingerly clutching his shin, Ron went into the Gryffindor common room. Inside, he saw Harry sitting by the fire. Ron went over to Harry, and sat down by him.
"I can't believe what I did --I hate it when I do this --I just get all worked up--" Harry was mumbling, through silent sobs."
Ron said softly, "I saw you and Cho earlier today."
Harry replied, "Can you help me get over it?"
"I don't think. I think Cho is gone forever, but Ginny might be interested in you."
Harry's face lit up, "Really? I always thought she was kind of cute!"
"She talks all the time about how she wishes that you would notice her, apparently, she didn't know that you liked her, too," Ron replied.
Harry was not crying anymore, and he said to Ron, "That would be great, but what about my yelling, and that Malfoy jerk..."
"You only yell because Cho is too serious, thinking about things WAY in the future, like marriage, and kids. Ginny isn't like that, she thinks about NOW, and knows when something is getting on your nerves. She'll stop before you blow up at her. As for Malfoy, I already have a plan in my head, with a plan B, too."
Harry looked really happy, so Ron said he had to leave, and went to walk around, to find Ginny. He found her with Draco in the library. He went up to Ginny, and said, "Hi, sis, can I talk to you alone?"
"Well... I guess..."
Ron pulled her aside, behind a shelf of books, where Malfoy couldn't hear and said in a whisper, "Harry got in a fight with Cho today, and she is done with him. He also told me he has liked you for quite a while. He thinks your cute, Gin, you should go for him."
"Wow, are you serious?"
"Yep, he was sitting by the fire, crying about Cho, and I told him Cho was through with him, but you might be interested in him, and he quit crying instantly, and seemed genuinely happy!"
Ginny went back out to Malfoy, and told him she had to go, so Ron got Hermione to come back to the common room, to help him and Harry see how Ginny would tell Malfoy.
