A little something that popped in my head and wanted to share with you guys. I do not own Inuyasha it belongs to Rumiko Takahashi.

Waiting for Tomorrow

Kagome sat at her desk while writing on a beautifully decorated journal

She thought that no matter how much she wrote,

Her anguish would never abide in time

If thinking and dreaming kept her at peace

Then what would it mean should she pass away

Leaving everyone that had stayed by her side

Time seems to pass away

With nothing but a moment too soon

How could I tell you that you were mine?

If you we're never here to stay with me

It's been six months since that fateful day

Yet things seem to slow down instead of stopping

She went about her daily ritual, dragging herself to them

No one ever asked her what was wrong, they were too scared

Always denying there was ever something wrong, a façade she built

Owing it all to him and yet where was he, when everything was falling apart

Darkness consuming her inside

What to expect when the lies are all the same

A comfort so thick and strong, impossible to break

There's no other place to hide but inside the mind

Sango always told her that she'll always be there

Yet she has her own things to do on a daily basis

The home she stays in is so empty, devoid of feelings

She no longer sleeps in the master bedroom but the floor beneath it

What can you tell a woman whom just lost her husband?

It is not natural to feel that he never left; she needed to leave that house

What was once there shall remain till she takes her last breath

The house is eating her from the inside out

No one can do a thing but watch as she fades

What do you say to a shimmer, which has not moved on

Destroy that house before it kills everything

Her heart hurt so much that it beat slowly

All the joints ached as if she never even used them

She felt sick all over yet to others a beautiful lost woman stood

No aging past twenty five and people often mistook her age

Kagome was ninety-five years old and alone in a huge home

A husband no longer present for his death was untimely

The only thing she could do was cry and continues mourning him

We must perform the last prayers

Only then she will be set free

The heart mourns what is not there

She does not have much time left

Let her sleep for once in peace

Kagome had put on her nightgown and laid in the master bedroom

Inhaling the smell of her beloved dead husband

Reminiscing in the past memories of him and her

She situated herself in the middle of the bed

Looked up to the canopy filled with stars

"I'll be with you soon Sesshoumaru" as tears left her eyes

Holding a white rose in her hands and closed her eyes

Letting sleep take her and send her to the heavens

Meeting her beloved and walking onward

It hurts to know her smile was stolen

To know that your soul mate was taken

Waiting till death do they part

Just to join the one person you love

Finally reaching the end of the road

Smiling and knowing you're finally

Resting in peace

Hope you enjoyed it.
