"I'll get the popcorn from the kitchen," April said optimistically.

Raphael bent down looking at the pile of DVDs in front of him. "Do you prefer scary or comedy?"

"Really? Is that all the genres you guys have?" No Action or Romance? She remarked with a smirk.

"Hey, were mutant turtles here, we can't just walk into any movie store and buy whatever we want."

"Well your right about that". She walked over with the bowl of microwaved popcorn and sat on couch made of pizza boxes.

He looked around in the small group of DVDs and held up one of the movie cases, "I'm in the mood for some horror, want to watc Insidious?"

Ehh…Maybe, honestly I like the suspense of a good horror movie, but most of the time I prefer to watch something else."

"Really? The big bad April O' Neil can't take a simple horror movie?" he said in a playful tone.

"I never said that, but I'll watch it you really want to, besides you guys don't really have too much of a combination to pick from anyways, Raph."

A small gruff escaped his teeth, as he took the disc out of his case and inserted it into the large DVD player.

"Move over." He commanded.

"Alright Mr. grumpy pants, "she said while scooting to the over side of the couch.

Raphael grabbed the remote from his side, pressing one of the buttons for the movie to start.

"Ughh previews," he scoffed.

"Well while that's on, let me go turn off the lights."

"I'll do it", April said abruptly as she got up. When she returned, she plopped back down onto the couch, draping herself onto his large and muscular arm.

He gave her a little stunned look on his face, as his golden and green eyes stared down at her. "uhh what are you doing", he said surprisingly.

She looked up back at him, "What do you mean?" I'm trying to enjoy the movie.

His eyes rolled in response, "Are you sure you aren't scared?" He asked with some concern. "If so we can just watch something else."

Me scared? Heck no, I just sometimes…like to be physically close to someone, when watching a movie." Her cheeks becoming a visible red pink. "But if your too uncomfortable with it..."

"Nah its fine," he interrupted. "I know you're scared so I'll comfort ya."

"I told you I'm not scared Raph, she looked at him with a frown."

"Hey, it's fine whatever you say."

As the previews ended, the film began its opening introduction. Her eye's began to widen as the music was unbelievably eerie, the effects were creepy, and having the lights on didn't make it any better for the both of them

The mood in the room was becoming extremely odd.

"Oh God" April said to herself. Obviously she didn't want to admit her fear, but she couldn't help but feel a little tense as the film begun. Her grip on his arm starting to tighten as she snuggled more closely into him.

He noticed her sudden moments and rolled his eyes once more."Oh O' Neil, you are so obvious." He lifted and removed his arm her embrace. "Huh", she muttered under her breath with surprise. He grabbed her shoulders and gently pushed her to his side, placing her between the area of his plastron and shell. He wrapped his arm around her waist, with her head cushioned onto his shoulder. He said nothing, but kept his view head-on towards the TV screen.

She felt a blush arising on her face again. She felt so comfortable and safe but It was too the point where she was beginning to forget about the movie completely. It softened her heart to see "tough guy" Raph hold someone like her so passionately. "Wow he really does care", she thought silently to herself.

She looked up at him, with glistening eyes; her body language was noticeably beginning to settle into his arms, placing her hand onto his left thigh.

"Thanks Raph."

They continued watching the film in silence.
