Author's Note: I apologize in advance for the crappy story. It was late when I wrote it, and looking back over it, I might go crazy if I tried to edit it.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Hetalia (that's why its a FANfiction, peeps), nor do I own Kiss With A Fist by Florence and the Machine, the awesomeness of which I don't do justice...
And so, without further ado, I present to you ...
Kiss With A Fist
He didn't understand. This was mindless. The same routine, day after day, minute after minute, and not a second of respite.
What they had, at first, was passionate. It was love. Or so he thought. A few months in, the arguments started. They were silly little squabbles at first, nothing of consequence, nothing serious. They'd fight, kiss, make up, and that was the end of it for the better part of the day.
Then they escalated. All the tension, frustration, everything just came out, reared its ugly deformed head. The things said during said arguments, well, they stung. They were causing irreparable damage. Once a week turned into twice, twice multiplied, until they were arguing over just about everything. It was subtle, this slipping.
Slipping.
Slipping.
Slipping.
Smack. Neither of them quite remembered who threw the first punch, but all he knew was that it would have to stop some time. Unfortunately, with the strength and stamina that was contained in these two beings, that some time was a long time down the road. Eventually, it'd become something that the two had anticipated. An argument was just itching to evolve from some minor error, some little thing that was out of place, something that could cause a problem. They'd stopped trying to fix these little quirks long ago, because there was bound to be an argument over something in its place, so there was little point in any form of correction.
He finished stitching up the product of these latest quarrels with a huge sigh, then went to treating his now swelling cheek, where a left hook had connected with his face and left flowering bruise. 'A kiss with a fist is better than none, I suppose.'
