(Day after Rin was resurrected)
A pale sun rose, its light flooding the darkness. Sesshomaru woke up early, ready to pursue his half-brother, and half demon, Inuyasha. He really didn't have anything else to do, he had no one. Nobody ever cared for him so why should he care for them. He was always alone. He went to wake up Jaken, when he noticed her. The girl he had saved was sleeping peacefully near by under a tree. He didn't think she would keep following him. After all he was a demon, a great and powerful demon lord as a matter a fact. Was she not frightened by him? All other humans would have run long ago. Maybe she wasn't like all other humans. She stayed.
I was running late for work
So I didn't change my shirt
The evening's drinks left a lingering taste in my mouth
And when I left you were fast asleep
Tangled in the sheets
And on the bus I could've sworn it was all a dream
It didn't happen to me
(Flashback)
She ran. She was running for her life. But why should she try and save herself? She had nothing and no one. The villagers would only beat and hurt her. They thought she was strange. Even if they did allow her to live there, they never really did accept her. Why did her family have to die? Why did it happen to her? She began to slow down. The wolves were close behind. Then she remembered his face. The icy amber eyes, the magenta stripes, the navy crescent moon, and his fair skin, all surrounded by waterfalls of his starlight silver locks. She ran faster again. She would live for him. He didn't hurt her like the villagers. He didn't leave like all the others. Maybe he wasn't like the others. Suddenly she tripped. It was all over, her last thoughts of the only person that had accepted her since the loss of her family. The wolves surrounded her, their sharp teeth ripping into her soft flesh.
Sesshomaru found her, lying on the ground with teeth marks all over her small body. His sword began pulsing. He unsheathed Tensaiga and killed the demons trying to take her soul. Rin opened her eyes in Sesshomaru's arms to meet his eyes once more. She wasn't in pain any more; her wounds were healed on her body and in her heart. He had saved her. He was her reason for living. She would follow him, forever.
And then I felt the scrapes
From the slippery subway grate
Oh how you laughed at my complete lack of grace
But I could not recall
A more perfect fall
Because when I looked up into your eyes
It didn't hurt at all
(End Flashback)
Sesshomaru felt something, He had never felt this way before. This human had decided to stay with him even though she was aware that he was a demon. She stayed. She didn't run like everyone else. She had even smiled at him while everyone else would have cowered in fear. Now he had some one to protect, someone to care for, someone who would care for him. She was still here with him in the morning.
And I thought, be still my heart
This could be a brand new start with you
And it will be clear if I wake up
And you're still here with me in the morning
Rin's heart raced. He had come back for her to save her. He actually care for her. She had someone now.She wasn't going to be alone. He had already awaken and could of left with out her but he stayed and waited. He didn't abandon her like everyone else. He didn't hurt her like everyone else. He was still here wating for her in the morning.
And I thought, be still my heart
This could be a brand new start with you
And it will be clear if I wake up
And you're still here with me in the morning
