Title: Chance Encounters
Inspiration: I came up with this idea after reading volume four of Full Moon. Remember the kiss between Takuto and Izumi? Thank you Arina Tenamura! I banged my head on the wall from laughter. Well, later I went on the internet and remembered the kiss. I decide to see peoples 'reactions' to it.
Izumi/Takuto: Really?
Classified Information: Okay, not really. I was looking to see if people made shounen-ai out of it. But I couldn't find any Takuto/Izumi that wasn't extremely smutty. And I only found two! Apparently most people watched the anime. Seriously, the only anime I've watched that doesn't have any shounen-ai implications. At all!
Izumi/Takuto: Get on with it!
Classified Information: Okay! Sheesh. So, I decided to make one of my own. That wasn't smutty. So here it is! And it actually has a plot, too! Not necessarily shounen-ai if you people don't want it to be.
Izumi seems a little OOC when he finds out his plan failed. After he accepts his fate he turns back to normal. So, don't hate me for that, 'kay.
It was almost time. The boss was going to be there any minute. He'd come with the new guy, Meroko would be stuck with him, then he'd be free of her 'I love you's and 'Izumi dear.' What a devious mind he had. Sometimes, he could believe just how brilliant his plans were.
Watching from the sidelines he could see the Boss coming. Right on cue, he thought.
"Ah, Meroko. What might you be doing here? It can't be because you want to take on the job, is it?"
Meroko looked confused, something the Boss didn't catch. "Well, that would be impossible. We need someone with more experience." Izumi did a face plant from where he was eavesdropping. Unknowingly, he revealed his hiding spot. "Yes, someone like you Izumi. Thanks for offering." The Boss then disappeared, leaving the boy there. He wasn't in the mood to hear arguments right about now.
"B-but, but," Izumi stuttered. This was not how things were suppose to go! He had it all planned out! The Boss was supposed to give Meroko the assignment. Not him. "Aaaah! Why me?!"
"What is going on Izumi?" Meroko demanded. "Did you just set me up?" Izumi stayed silent. Meroko continually tapped her foot against the pavement. "Well, I'm waiting! You have some serious explaining to do!"
He sighed. "Isn't it obvious?" He didn't bother explaining any further.
"That may be, but that doesn't stop me from being mad!" She looked to be at the brim of tears. She was a very emotional person and did not like people messing with her feelings.
"Fine, just ignore me." It seems they had forgotten about a little someone. Meroko felt a little embarrassed about almost crying in front of a complete stranger. And that she had forgotten he was there.
Izumi spoke up before Meroko had a chance. "What's your name kid?"
"I was told it was Takuto," he responded simply.
Izumi finally had to except his fate. He was going to get stuck with this kid until he became a Shinigami. He gave a sigh. He really hated his life right now.
"Come on. Follow me." Takuto obliged.
Extremely short I know, but I want to see if people actually like it before continuing. Next chapter will be 'Takuto First Assignment!' or Mission or whatever!
Feel free to review. No flaming just because it's shounen-ai. This is fan fiction. They're motto isn't "Unleash your imagination" for nothing.
Takuto: Why does it have to be shounen-ai?
It's not really shounen-ai. You guys don't end up together… I think.
Izumi: You think?
If not even one person in the audience doesn't like it then I won't do it. Now how do I end this?
Takuto: Beats me.
