Lies
As he watched her from across the office, he was shaken with the idea that his entire life had been a lie.
He had chased beliefs that were never his own.
He had fought for the wrong side for over seventeen years of his life, hiding behind a mask that he had placed there for the safety of his soul.
He had hated those who he now found he should have befriended, joined and not insulted.
He had led a life where he had been forced to twist the truth and do things that he wished not to do.
It was a lie
And those lies would forever remain between him and the girl that sat across the room. No matter how much they tried putting their past behind them for the sake of the Minisry and their department, she would always hate him and he would always lie for he didn't hate her at all and he never had.
The greatest lie of all those he had told was that Hermione Granger was his enemy.
In truth, he loved her.
But Draco Malfoy cared not for her to know.
