Full was the moon that softly shone onto the decorated walls of the room. The night was still after the hectic day which was filled with shrills of numerous phones crying out to be answered.

Nevertheless, the Earl of Millennium answered each call faithfully with gleeful anticipation and not to forget, businesslike of course. This was because each deal closed with greedy brokers meant a step closer to his goal, a delightful stage of nostalgic horror to the core!

Filled with satisfaction from his hard work, the Earl sat comfortably on his rocking chair with his loyal Lulubell on his lap.

With a whimsical voice he taunted,

"Happy are those who have died earlier,

And woe to those who are alive now.

For they will cry dearly with pain and anguish,

And then they will witness the ending of their lives."

The Earl's fingers danced mindlessly around the hand rest of his rocking chair.

"Smoke and blood will drown this disgusting world,

And then a paradise will be created by yours truly!"

"FUUUHH!" The Earl grinned ear to ear with excitement. This will move him to tearful joy when that day comes.

Outside the door of his room.

An umbrella with the addition of a small talking jack-o-lantern on the tip flipped around the hallway with worried thoughts.

"Earl - tama seems to be proclaiming rather morbid speeches lately - Lero.." sighed a disturbed Lero with resignation. "Seriously, am I the only sane one here in this family - Lero?"

Road shrugged with indifference and replied, "Shhhhhh. Don't talk nonsense, Lero. His words are so captivating! "

Her eyes sparkled with excitement and promptly ignored Lero to listen more.

"...Stalker..." Lero commented with annoyance, and it was immediately twisted around by a not so amused Road.

Back in his room.

"However, they are those who want to oppose my wonderful dream..." snorted the Earl with his disapproval.

"The tragic souls which are crushed by inevitable fate,

The so called salvation bringers to my delightful toys,

Who are they, you might ask?

They are the exorcists of the Dark Order, of course!"

Lulubell meowed and snuggled deeper into his embrace.

"Whatever journey they may travel upon to win this war,

The same answer will await them at the end!"

The Earl wiggled his eyebrows with a fickle and rocked his favorite chair with confidence.

"For the end is what I hold and control,

No one can rip it away from my hand!"

".. . And what is the answer at the end of their journey, you might ask ,neh Lulubell?"

He rubbed Lulubell's furry head affectionately.

"It is death after all..."

The Earl smiled softly while listening to Lulubell purr with agreement.

"They will realize the truth when it is too late...

That their efforts were frivolous and trifling,

That their sacrifices were nothing to begin with,

And that they were fighting a losing battle in a world of black and white."
