Ever since Jake walked out of that elevator Addison couldn't stop thinking about him. She truly meant the what she had said to him, "I could get ready." All of her feelings for Sam or any other man had disappeared as soon as Jake leaned in and whispered in her ear. She could still feel his breath on her for days to come. She was ready for his love.

It had been a long day at the practice. She had just delivered two premature babies with the help of Jake. There was little chance of survival for these kids but Jake was determined to find a way to help them. After the babies were born, Jake was sitting in the nursery rocking one of the baby girls to sleep. Addison walked by the door and heard him start to sing to the baby so she stood in the doorway listening. He was so gentle and loving her it made Addison tear up a bit. After the baby fell asleep and Jake put her back in the crib Addison whispered,

"That was beautiful."

Jake turned his head and smiled, "It's a song my mom used to sing to me when I was little."

It was a long time before someone spoke because they were so lost in each other's eyes. Addison walked closer to him and said,

"How can you be so perfect?"

Jake replied, "I am hardly perfect."

Addison shook her head and said, "You are so humble and such a gentleman. I have never met anyone like you. When you look at me, my knees go weak and my heart almost beats out of my chest. You make me have butterflies again like I'm a teenager. You have so much love to give and I don't think I deserve it."

Jake walked over to her and lifted her chin so their eyes were locked on each other. "Addison, you have no idea how deserving you are. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen but your heart is the most attractive thing about you." He stepped closer so that the only thing not touching between them was their lips.

He said, "I just need to know, are you ready for me?"

Breathlessly she answered, "Yes."

He closed the gap between them and pressed his lips to hers so gently that Addison could barely feel it.. He massaged his lips against hers and her mouth opened as an invitation for his tongue. She grabbed the sides of his face and deepened the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her protectively and she relaxed into him. The broke for air, gasping.

"Wow..." said Addison

Jake laughed, "I've been waiting a long time to do that."
