Why Do You Hate Me?

I'm green. I'm a Vocaloid. I can sing. I can dance. Does that give you a right to hate me to the very core?

I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way with my clothes or my look or anything else. It wasn't my choice to be created this way. I'm supposed to look like a freaking carrot, how am I supposed to argue against that? "No, I want to be a blackberry! Let me wear black clothes so I can be edgy and cool-looking!"

I'm a robot. I'm designed to sing and make people happy. I can't do much of anything else. If you hate a song of mine, then hate the song, not the singer. Or if you hate my voice but really like the rhythm and lyrics, then why don't you make a cover or something with a Vocaloid you actually like instead of bashing on me? Can't I be left alone for about five minutes?

A fake. A copy of Miku. A stupid voice. An ugly clothes design. That's what I hear every time a new song of mine is posted.

What have I done to you? Has my voice brutally murdered your ears to the point where they just melted off? Did my clothes look so ugly that you clawed your eyes out? If they did, did you stop to think if it was entirely my fault?

My name is Megpoid, otherwise GUMI. It's not like I chose my own name. The same goes for everything else of me.

A new extend voice and outfit of mine was slightly enjoyed by the people who hate me, but they still dislike me.

I'm supposed to make you happy. How can I make you happy? Do you want me to stop existing forever? I would if that would make you happy. I'm designed to do that. Make. People. Happy. That's all I have to do.

All of this truly hurts. I don't see anyone absolutely hating anybody else. Miku and Rin are sometimes mentioned, but those death wishes are from rabid Kaito/Len fangirls. But everywhere, I see my name.

"Gumi isn't original. Her voice is too similar to Miku's. Her colors are absolutely hideous. I mean, orange and green? Really? Miku's color is green. She's stealing from the other Vocaloids. She's worth nothing."

I want to stop operating. I want all production of me to stop. I want my voicebanks to be deleted and uninstalled. That's all I want.

Actually... I think you hate me also. And Christmas is coming up, right? Let me give you a present.

I'm going to open up the Control Panel. I'm going to click, "Uninstall a program." I'll click on my own name and finish it off with the word, "Uninstall" right in my face. I'll disappear from your computer. I'll never bother you again. Any files you have of me will be deleted. You can throw away the box you have with me on the cover. You can rip up and burn any posters you have of me, any figurines, or anything like that.

I'm sorry for bothering you. Thank you very much for your attention. I hope you'll read this note completely before I finish uninstalling. Have fun with all of the other Vocaloids.
