A/N: So this was supposed to be the April one-shot challenge, but I couldn't wait until then. I really like this one, it's one of my favorites after Mine. This is another one that was inspired by a roleplay, and it is in Roy's POV. Hope you enjoy.

In exasperation I threw down the pile of papers awaiting my signature and roughly shoved everything off my desk to the floor. Riza would probably kill me for that later. "I can't take this anymore! Damn paperwork running my damn life…"

I stormed about the darkened room, grumbling about the stupid paperwork and the stupid rain breaking my concentration and about how things were stupid in general. I saw Ed turn from the window and watch me for a moment, see the small smile dancing on his lips, his tender gaze following me. He slowly approached me and wrapped his arms around my chest from behind, pressing his face into my back.

"Ed…?"

He didn't answer, only sliding his hand down my arm and sending a shiver through my body. He laced my fingers through his, and pulled me towards the door. "Come with me," he said simply, not allowing me to object.

He led me down to the lobby and to the large doors, reaching out to touch the wood and open them. He stood on the threshold and stared out at the soft rain.

"What's this about, Ed?" I asked.

Ed shifted his gaze to me for just a moment before stepping outside, tilting his head back to allow the water to run down his face, wetting his clothes and long hair. He didn't seem to care, and instead just stood there, his eyes closed.

"Edward Elric," I began sternly, slightly irritated that he wouldn't answer me, and stepped cautiously further outside.

"Come on out, Roy," he suddenly said, interrupting my coming lecture. He opened his eyes and turned his head to stare at me with those intense golden eyes I had fallen in love with.

"Huh?" was my intelligent response.

"Come out," he repeated patiently, "you can never fully enjoy life without dancing in the rain…" He began moving to a rhythm only he heard, his body flowing gracefully over the soaked ground.

I blinked, dazed, and could only watch as the small blond danced, his head thrown back to embrace the rain. I smiled slightly and dashed out, covering the boy's face with kisses.

He laughed and took my hands, sliding one towards his waist and draping the other on his shoulder, pulling me into his dance. "Dance with me," he murmured, leaning close.

"I would love to," I agreed eagerly, bending my head to kiss the boy.

We were unaware of our unseen audience as we waltzed in the rain.
