FROM MATT

Tai looked down at the grave in front of him.

He's down there, he thought.

It's not fair. Why did he do it?

And after that big fight as well.

Of coarse, I know why.

He told me seconds before…

Flashback

"Why do you always do this Matt?" yelled Tai.

"I'm not doing anything Tai, you may not realize it but it's you who always does this. You're so busy fighting your own war that you never have time to think about any one else.

'Other people have feelings too, you know? The whole world doesn't revolve around you."

"And it doesn't revolve around you either. You can blame me all you want but it's only cause you need someone to blame!"

Matt didn't say anything.

He just shrugged his shoulders as if to say, 'Why bother? You're not worth it,' and walked off.

Flashback Ends

That stupid fight! I don't even remember what it was about.

I wish that fight had never happened. And the fight after.

If the fights had never taken place Matt wouldn't be where he is now.

Flashback

Bang!

The sounds of battle filled the air.

Tai and Matt were still not talking.

"Tai, watch out!" yelled Matt suddenly.

Tai paid no attention.

"Tai you idiot!"

Tai felt himself pushed from behind.

He turned, ready to yell at Matt for shoving him, and instead saw Matt lying motionless on the ground.

"Oh my God Matt!" he whispered in shock.

"Matt," he said, kneeling down next to the only half-conscious blonde, "Why did you do that?"

Matt looked up at Tai with eyes filled with pain, "Cause we're friends Tai," he whispered.

The pained look vanished, "That's what friends do."

And with these words, Matt died.

Flashback Ends

It had only been two years since Matt… Since the accident.

Tai had visited Matt's grave as often as he could, sometimes twice a week.

After all, it's only when something's gone, that you realize how much you need it.

"I never got too tell you I was sorry," Tai whispered, "It wouldn't have mattered though," he added to himself, "You would never have forgiven me."

Tai closed his eyes for a second to stop the slugs of sadness from sliding down his face.

When he opened them, he saw something lying in the middle of the grave.

A Harmonica.

Tai picked it up slowly.

Something was written on it.

I Forgive You.

Tai looked at the message for a long time.

"Thank you Matt," he whispered as he walked towards the pathway, "Maybe now I can start to forgive myself."

He met Sora halfway across the path.

"What's that?" she asked as Tai slipped the harmonica into his pocket.

"A present," he answered.

"From who?"

"From Matt."

As always, review!

Even if it's a huge flame (Though I'd purfer it if it wasn't).

Constructive criticism.
