Hey everyone! No this is does not mean that I am deviating from other project, like Scars of Time (honestly!). This was a prompt challenge from the writer's circle in my dorm. The prompt was 'piano' and it reminded me of the intro to one of Shadow's themes from his game, Never Turn Back. I hope you like it and I'll be updating again soon.

Her Eyes
The melody flowed easily from the keys; his delicate hands on the ivory panels. I watched the practice from the corner, silent as always. Watching the careful concentration of his beautiful blue eyes and the crease of his brow if he hit the wrong note.
Careful green eyes glanced in the window every half minute, watching me more than him, not trusting me around him. Let the other check, I don't care; he and the music are all I really care about.
"That was beautiful."
"I hit all the wrong notes." He looks at me with those big blue eyes, her eyes, and frowns at his own mistakes.
"I couldn't tell."
"You just don't know the song."
"So why does it matter what notes you played." I forced myself to smile comfortingly, not a gesture I ever had reason to use in the past but something I'm finding myself needing more and more around him. My father would have cause to worry, if he was still here. "I loved it."
