Disclaimer: I woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror. I saw I wasn't Stephanie Meyer and didn't own Twilight. *Sniff*. *Tear*.

A/N: The Cullens are still around, Nessie is alive but Jake has not imprinted on her (subject to change) and yeah, the werewolves are still werewolves and stuff. So yeah, the story basically hasn't changed. Except for a few things I like to call my own. Or whatever. Hope you enjoy. Please read and review!

Chapter 1:

(JAKE POV)

Running. I love running. One of the greatest things about being a wolf is that you are free to travel and run with barely anything to hold you back. Sniffing the fresh, cold crisp morning air sprinting through the woods as fast as I can but not putting much effort into it is what I consider the best way to start my day. I patrol my way to the Cullen household, the stench of vampire reeking all the way to where the border is- gross. We seriously need to put some air freshener in the woods or something. Like I said, it reeks.

"I totally agree with ya Jake." A panting Seth came up from behind me

"SETH! What are you doing here?! You KNOW I like to do morning patrol on my own." I complained

"Yeah, I know. But there's a weird, non-vampire-reek smell coming from by the beach that I want you to sniff out. It sort of goes into the woods but then whatever or whomever it was covered up their tracks or something. I don't think it's a bad thing, just…odd. Seems sort of familiar too. Like a faint memory or something." Seth commented.

My heart began to beat a little faster than it should. My mind began whirring with thoughts and ideas that not even I could make sense of. It was almost like the sensitivity that I have towards my past was coming back to bite me in the…well, you know where.

"Wolf butt." Seth commented

"Thanks a lot, man." I replied

Seth began to complain as we raced along the woods. He didn't like the sound of some of my ideas.

"Dude! Stop making such a big deal out of it. You can start with the ideas and thoughts and stuff when the pack meets. I think we should meet with the Elders too." Seth thought to me

"You really think it's that serious?" I asked, my ears perking up in caution.

Seth sighed. "I don't know. I mean, it depends on what you think, really. If it turns out my nose was just clogged or something, then no, I don't. But I don't think it's that. Ah, thank god. Here we are!"

We ran across the shore and into the part of the woods where Seth claimed he smelled the "weird thing".

"I did smell the weird thing!" He protested

"I never said you didn't!" I argued

"But…" Seth started to say, but his voice trailed back. "Wow." He whispered

I was about to reply back but then followed his gaze. My eyes trailed and the path ended on a girl. A girl about my age. And "wow" was right.

A/N: So. Should I continue? Please REVIEW and tell me what you think so far.
