It was a fine day. Fuji Syusuke was on his way to school. But before the tensai left his territory - his cozy room - he watered his well-grown cactus. The cactus seemed to be very happy with its owner. Then, Fuji opened the window near the cactus' spot, giving the cactus sunlight. After that, Fuji exited his room and rushed downstairs.
The dining table had a cup of hot coffee waiting for Fuji to pick up and drink till he reached the grounds of Seishun Gakuen. So he took his cup of coffee and walked to the door.
"See you later. Ja," he said, making his first step out of the house.
Then, he started walking to school. As he walked, he finished buttoning his only half-buttoned shirt.
He continued sipping his coffee, which was made nicely. It was not too sweet but not too bitter for his taste. As always. After a long walk, he reached Seigaku, but he hadn't finished his coffee yet, so he brought it to the courts and gulped the hot drink.
"You're late, Syusuke," a familiar voice called not from afar.
"Ohayo, Mitsu," he greeted the stoic buchou and gave the latter a smile.
"Why are you late?" Tezuka said to the smaller guy who continued to sip coffee.
"Sorry for the lateness, sir," Fuji said to the taller boy, giving another smile. He lifted the cup up to Tezuka's face. "Coffee?"
"No," Tezuka refused, pushing the cup back towards Fuji. "You know I don't drink coffee."
"You never told me that," Fuji said to Tezuka.
"I did," Tezuka replied to Fuji.
"No, you didn't," Fuji answered back.
"Yes, I did," Tezuka said. They started to sound like five-year-olds.
"Fine, even if you did say that, I don't really understand why you don't drink coffee," Fuji said, staring at Tezuka, pretending to be mad. He really sounded and looked like a five-year-old.
"I don't drink coffee because my growth will be stunted," Tezuka said.
"So?" Fuji was curious.
"It means I won't grow taller," Tezuka said simply.
"What is your point?" Fuji started to get angry.
"You must drink milk, not coffee," Tezuka said. "That's why you're too short," he continued teasingly. This made Fuji burst at first, but, in the end, he forgave Tezuka and that's how his day went.
