"Lee my youthful pupil, you have discovered the beauty of blossoming love! I, Gai-sensei, will proudly teach you how to win the heart of your beloved!" Tears in his eyes, the "youthful pupil" bobbed his head up and down with excitement. "Yosh! Thank you Gai-sensei!"

Groaning, Neji watched the scene with disdain. Although he had witnessed their moments several times before, he found that it was still as disturbing as the first time. Shuddering delicately, the Hyuuga recalled the first time he had seen it. It was as frightening and random as spontaneous combustion. Unfortunately, it happened far more often… as in, at least once a day.

"Be a gentleman Lee. Of course, I expect my youthful pupil to always be a gentleman, but be especially gentlemanly around her."

Tenten would tell you to ignore them. He reminded himself, settling into his meditation.

"Ladies like the silent type."

Concentrate

"Always be kind."

CONCENTRATE

"Don't show off."

CONCENTRATE

"Don't be pushy. Love blooms when it sees fit."

CONCENTRATE DAMMIT!

"And always be her knight in shining armor. Youthful maidens love that stuff."

"I give up." Neji growled, unfolding his legs and standing up. Huffily, he walked away.

"Neji-san, I think there is a certain damsel in distress that you need to visit." Lee murmured to his teammate when he caught up with him. "What?" Neji demanded. "I think Tenten-san needs her knight in shining armor." He explained knowledgably. "Tenten has a cold Lee. A cold. She's not hanging off a building… and I am NOT her knight in shining armor." Lee tilted his head to the side. "I suppose I shouldn't push. Like Gai-sensei says, love blooms when it sees fit."

I can't believe I'm doing this.

Knock knock

About half a minute after the second knock, the oak door opened to reveal a red-nosed Tenten. Her buns were messy and partially undone as if she slept with them, which wasn't very surprising as she had done just that.

"Neji? What-" She coughed into the blanket that was draped over her shoulders. "-are you doing here?"

"I came to check on you. Perhaps, you should get more rest. I brought chicken soup."

Tenten beamed. "Thanks Neji, you're my knight in shining armor."

. . . and you're my lovely maiden.

Wow. I can't believe I wrote a NejiTen. Now, now, don't flame me. I don't hate it, I just don't particularly like it. Whatever.
That crappy story is dedicated to my NejiTen lover Dango-chan (Glimmersky)
Credit to my senpai, vladimira-chan, for giving me inspiration.
Love ya both...
Except not really.
