Two kingdoms lived in peace. Camelot and Gallia. William Montague and Uther Pendragon, the kings of both kingdoms, had always been friends and always wanted union between them. Each had a son; Arthur and Joseph, and each had a daughter; Morgana and Elizabeth. Each year they brought their children together hoping that a romance of some sort would turn up in their children.
So every year they would go to each kingdom and stay for a whole summer. Arthur and Elizabeth created a great friendship. Every year the two children would count down the days till they would see each other again.
But then King William, on the eve of his daughter's 12th birthday, grew sick. The arrangement then was cancelled as the King was too weak to travel. Arthur and Elizabeth where distraught, they didn't want the trip to be cancelled. But life went on. Arthur became the best knight known, Elizabeth grew to be a beautiful young princess, Morgana was appointed as Uther's ward and Joseph was soon going to be King of Gallia.
5 years past where the children never met. King William died. Gallia was distraught. Only days later Joseph was crowned king but he didn't want to be King. He wanted Elizabeth to be Queen as did all of his people. The people rebelled setting fire to the castle one day while their new King was asleep.
The wind was not on their side. The wind carried the fire from the King's chambers to the whole kingdom. Everything had set on fire, nobody stood a chance. Nobody except those outside the kingdom walls. One of whom happened to be Princess Elizabeth.
