Some Applause, My Audience Of Stars
He defeated me.
That annoying little puppet defeated me.
Who would think that I, Sephiroth, the man once said to be the best ever, would die in such a way?
But ahhh, I've been overconfident, haven't I? Hojo always said that was my biggest downfall. I would get oveconfident and make a mistake.
My conciousness is drifting apart; I can feel it. But I don't really care now. I'm going to be able to rest.
I will be free, free of all the pain human beings that are alive feel.
I may have been angry at first, but now I can see. It was better for me to die. Now the world can live in peace.
I hope that man will not make the mistakes they did before. I wish no new Sephiroth running around. I was bad enough.
Funny, with Jenova dead, I can realise all the harm I've caused. But I'm not really remorseful. Either that or my insanity is holding.
I taught them a lesson. Don't play with matches children; you'll get burned.
Don't play God.
Don't make the foolish attempt to create something that is alive with science. Don't be the fool Hojo was.
So many "don'ts" I've taught with my actions. But what good things did my presence teach?
Was there anything good of my life?
Maybe the fact that I've taught those "don'ts"?
I'm not sure, but I don't have any time left, so I'll go with that now.
I'm almost totally gone. Soon the Lifestream will sweep my conciousness away and I will be no more.
But, at least some good came out of my being. I taught them what not to do.
Now Cloud, it's up to you to teach them what's right to do. You're better at that then me. Just like Zach was.
I'm going now, I'm falling away now, the curtains are falling.
But at the least, some applause, my audience of stars, at my last bow, for I never got any.
