There once lived a girl who sat in her room.
And while her parents were fighting, she'd fly on her broom.
She'd wander to a camp where children of Greek gods go.
She'd watch, as the son of Poseidon would control the river's flow.
She'd watch the avatar bend water and air,
She'd watch as the divergent girl's mother cut her hair.
She'd watch as the girl on fire shot her last arrow,
She'd watch as the girls ran away to tomorrow.
When she went back to her house, what was waiting there, were her books stacked in a pile and tossed without a care.
She went to her school, where all the mortals stood for appeal.
And they told her, that none of it was real.
All the boys that fancied her, they could not see,
What a hollow person she could end up to be.
She'd go to a corner to read nice and quietly,
And she'd turn around to find her friends were whispering greedily.
They came to her side and took away her book,
But what they didn't know, it was her life they took.
She went home to find them standing there;
The Seven,
The Wizards,
Team Avatar,
The Divergent,
The Runaways,
The Rebellion.
They were all there.
They grabbed her hand and said, "Please, don't." and as she held the blade at her skin,
And she tossed it away, for those were her kin.
When she went back to school, there was a boy standing there,
"I love you." He'd say. Though he didn't really care.
'I know you don't.' She wanted to say,
But the words caught in her mouth because she didn't want him to go away.
"I love you." He'd say, though he didn't really mean it.
He was with a different girl, and she had seen it.
After he left her she returned to her books,
The boy was gone with the girl who only liked his looks.
The girl found comfort in the son of death.
"I will find him one day." But her friends told her not to hold her breath.
She cried for him when he was in pain,
She cried for he was just a paper, his name just a stain.
As she held the blade she looked up to find,
That he was standing there right by her side.
"Please, don't do this."
"I want to be with you." She hissed.
There were tears in her eyes,
But he wiped them away and said,
"It will be your demise."
He held her tightly gripping the blade,
She stands here now, seeing him as the one who stayed.
