The Princess Chronicles
Adrianna left early for school as she did every morning but this morning felt different to her.
"I feel like someone's watching me," Adrianna thought to herself.
She turned around to check and see if anyone was following her but there was no one there.
"Strange," she thought.
A boy with black hair, and bright blue eyes was standing at the doorway when Adrianna walked into class.
"We have a new student class," said Mr. Poe. "His name is Austin. Make sure you make him feel welcome."
Austin sat down at the empty desk next to Adrianna.
"Hi," she said. "My name is Adrianna.
"Hey," said Austin. "I have something to tell you."
"Quiet," exclaimed Mr. Poe. "You should be listening to my very interesting lesson on trigonometry!"
"Can we talk after school?" whispered Austin.
"Uh… sure," said Adrianna
After school Adrianna waited for Austin, wondering what on earth he could possibly have to tell her.
" Hey! Adrianna over here," called Austin from under a tree.
Adrianna slowly walked over to where he was.
"So what did you want to tell me?"
"Well…" he started. "This might sound a bit strange but, I'm from a country called Araia in another dimension. And, you are the princess of this dimension."
"What!?" said Adrianna, laughing. "Are you crazy? Another dimension! And me a princess. You've really made my day."
"Just listen. You see that necklace around your neck," he said.
"Yeah, what about it?" said Adrianna confused.
"Your mother gave it to you right?"
"Right."
"Well that necklace is given to the heirs to the throne of Araia"
Adrianna listened to him skeptically, wondering if this boy really was insane.
"Okay. Let's say I believe you. Why are you telling me about this now."
"Well, there are dark forces trying to take over the kingdom and you're the only one with the power to stop them."
"I'm the only one. Right. I'm just a normal 16-year old girl. I don't think I have the power to stop anything."
"Trust me you do. You just need some training."
She sighed, "Okay."
Adrianna had to really let what Austin had said sink in. Could he possibly be telling the truth? Another dimension? It was way too much for her to handle.
"So…," said Austin, bringing her back to reality. "Are you ready to go?"
"Go where?"
