A/N: This is a response to a challenge from MissDeLys. The main idea was "what if Lorelai had run after Luke in 'Raincoats and Recipies' after the kiss?". I don't own Gilmore Girls, blah, blah, blah. Please review! Reviews are the rays of sunshine that beam through the clouds of life. : )

"Ahh, Ahh, Ahh!" Kirk came running down the inn's stairs, completely naked except for the pillow he held in front of himself. Lorelai wanted to curse him for his timing.

"I'll be right back!" Luke said as he turned to leave.

"Seriously?!" Lorelai said as she began to chase after Luke, "You cannot kiss me like that and then just leave!"

The three ran through Stars Hollow. They were just coming to the bridge (Yes, the Rory-Jess and Luke-Jess bridge), when Luke stopped. Lorelai stopped also.

"I lost him" Luke panted.

Lorelai tried to catch her breath, "As much as I'd love to hear the humorous details as to why Kirk is running naked though the town, I'm more interested in discussing what he interrupted" she said with a wicked grin.

"Well," Luke started, "I-" He was once again interrupted by Kirk, who was running towards them, still screaming. Kirk wasn't paying attention to where he was going, and he ran right into Lorelai. She fell backwards, waving her arms out and trying to grab something for support. She ended up grabbing Luke's wrist, and they both fell into the lake with a splash! Kirk, confused by all of this, slipped and landed head first on the bridge, causing him to pass out.

There was silence for a few seconds before both Luke and Lorelai started laughing hysterically. "Wow" Lorelai gasped, "This has to have been one of the most eventful nights of my life!" Neither her nor Luke made any efforts to get out of the water. They both just smiled at each other for a while. Slowly, Lorelai made her way towards Luke.

"Hey," she said softly

"Hey" Luke said with a small smile.

"So….um...want to explain the whole thing with Kirk?"

"He has night terrors" Luke said

Lorelai giggled, "Really? That's kind of funny."

They just looked into each other's eyes for a moment before Luke began to get out. "I guess we better get him back to the inn…"

Lorelai nodded as she too got out of the water, "Yeah…yeah… You take him back to the inn and I'll go to the house to get some stuff. I should've thought to bring band aids."

"OK, so meet back up at the inn?" Luke asked

"Yeah, see you there" Lorelai turned and began to walk home. She had so much to tell Rory.

A/N: I'd like to say that I appreciate all of the support I recieved for this fanfiction. I actually just planned it as a one shot as I have no idea where I would take it from here. I was really happy with the way I ended it becasue it didn't chagne the overall direction of where the episode went. I'm afraid that if I did make this a chapter fic, I would mess it up.
