I don't own Bleach. Thank you for reading. If it seems sad I'm sorry. *bows head in apology*
He was listening, ever so intently. As to what ran through the head of the white haired boy captain, no one really knew… Except for one person. As he listened, he was surprised. It hit so close to home. Reminded him of so much…
"Hinamori…" he thought sadly. He was sitting on Orihime's roof listening to the music that leaked out through the open window. As he listened, every note, lyric, chorus, hit home. "Tch. Matsumoto must be trying to get me to think about her. Well its working…" he rambled on in his head. As he sat on the roof, he flopped back to look at the stars.
~Flashback~
"Shirou-chan! Look at the stars! Aren't they pretty?"
"Shut up already bedwetter, I heard you the first time."
They were lying down on the roof of Granny's home. Granny had given them permission to sleep on the roof for the night since it was so hot out. He was sprawled out comfortably near the cent, and she, she was sprawled out next to him. After a while he started to fall asleep. "What the?" he thought. Momo had curled up next to him with his chest being the pillow. He smirked. As he drifted off to dream land his last barely conscious thought was "I will protect you til the ends of time my little peach…"

*GASP*
"Taichou, you ok?" Rangiku asked as she peeked her out the window. She had been about to ask her taichou if he wanted dinner.
"Yeah. I'm fine… By the way, what was the name of the song playing earlier?"
"I thought you might ask, Orihime-chan said it was called "Break Even" its by a band called the Script.
"Weird name… But anyway, I'm sure you came up here to ask me about dinner. My answer is and always will be… No thank you."
"Alright taichou… Whatever you say."
And so he turned to the stars again. His last fleeting thought before sleep overcame him was "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from Aizen, but I swear on my life, I'll protect you til the ends of time my peach…"
End.
I hope this moved you enough to write a review. It'd be greatly appreciated. At the moment I'm feeling a bit... Sad/Depressed/Blank (blank is basically when you don't feel anything, no emotion what so ever, so i call it blank because its fits the lack of emotion perfectly) So, sorry for the blahness. But i do hope you enjoyed the HitsuHina-ness. Ah yes, break even is a song. a very good song. go listen to it. fits the fic perfectly (well i think so) n no i dont own it. (well the CD that had-no... nevermind. i dont own it.)
Kaida-chan out.
