Fibbing
16 years old Okumura Rin is what most people call a 'feral alluring beauty' due to how her eyes looked, alongside her very masculine-handsome fraternal twin brother who has softer, kinder eyes.
Rin has a protective and supportive personality, considering WHO does the chores in the house. The men in her life all have work, and her twin brother Yukio is taking many advanced classes to get into a scholarship in a real elite school to somehow save up on money as he wanted to be a doctor, so Rin does all the chores, so he has all time in the world with his books and his own rest times. She also has great talent in the kitchen, but as they're religious people(though Rin could hardly care for it), she serves Shojin-Ryori, using vegetables, meat analogues, tofu, mushrooms, herbs, spices and seaweed when she was old enough to reach the stove.
The men in her life are starting to miss usual cuisine when she started, while insisting 'We're not buddhist monks, we're catholic priests!' but Rin would remind them of their tight budget. Besides, she does a real good job with vegan meat anyway!
And because they're poor and impossible to send both of them to school, Rin willingly 'sacrificed' herself in order to start working as compulsory education is up to Junior High, when students are required to learn the required kanji, and is currently using an online trading system after secretly getting an e-wallet and she was very lucky with it, earning oodles of money. Not that she tells them that yet...
However, she also has a short temper, particularly when lines are crossed and hated boys who publicly ogled her too much to her liking due to her top-heavy figure, but she's not above letting her 'male friends' touch her but only that, when she feels hormonal like most teenagers her age(she started at her last year of Junior High). And when angry, shows it in a rather violent manner. She has a good sense of justice, having been raised to know good things in the monastery...that didn't stop her from doing naughty things anyway when Yukio's out of eyeshot.
She used to be a 'wild uncontrollable child' until she got proper 'lady lessons'.
And good girls should not be violent and crass.
Those lessons were emphasized as she was a 'very strong child'. Rin didn't understand at first until old enough to know that she can physically do what even adult men can't. Troubled by this and knowing that she can kill even with a slap someday, she really holds back.
She tries, really...but some things just can't be helped. But as she can't hit people, she terrifies them with property damage instead and make them wet their pants in terror.
Well, its better than nearly-killing people at least and its the best compromise the makeshift family can get.
'Yu-chan! Today's laundry day! Anything you want thrown into the bin?' Rin called out to her twin's bedroom as since grade 6, they have to sleep in separate rooms.
'Oh, wait a minute neesan!' Yukio called out rather hurriedly.
'Are you hiding a messy room from me?' Rin teased playfully outside the door. 'You never let me in to clean it unless you're hiding porn in there somewhere?'
'HELL NO!' came the indignant outburst to Rin's laughter. 'A guy's room is a girl's no-zone, OK?! I can clean my room just fine! I'll get my laundry.' Rin got his laundry three minutes later.
Sure Rin does the laundry, but as she has no idea whose is who's, its the guys who take their own dry laundry from the clothesline, and fold it themselves.
'...ara ara, he's at that stage of manhood.' Rin rolled her eyes as she put every boxer in boiling water for sterilization purposes, before dumping them in the washing machine with her own underwear. Yukio does NOT know that he needs to release at some point or this'll keep happening.
In his room, Yukio sighed.
His sister grew up TOO well(he had to be paranoid on boys coming onto her and he doesn't know what goes on with their friends either) and its no secret a lot of boys lusted after her when he overheard some boys talk about wanting to 'bang her'. Despite being oblivious to the world she's supposed to belong to, their foster father's promise to their mother, is that they are to live normal happy lives. But Rin was unlucky she got their true father's genes. At some point in life, their paternal heritage will come knocking for her in a bid to take her away. So Fujimoto trained him to protect his sister from her fate.
Naturally, he got no childhood about that, but his sister who was oblivious was a nurturing, supportive person she doted on him and went violent on who bullied him for his grades, he had to work out to be masculine and know how to fight to be bully-proof, and it worked out. His sister got less violent too but is not above property damage to intimidate others.
Due to her personality it was hard to hate and resent her, she who got a normal life. She was even willing to be 'left behind' so he could pursue his 'dreams' to be a licensed doctor while she works to help with his fees. But she's still physically-affectionate that he had to keep reminding her that she sometimes does 'inappropriate contact' he's embarrassed about when she hugs him and presses her body on him too close...and there are times she kisses the corners of his lips, almost close to actually kissing him there. Fully-aware of her alluring beauty, it played merry hell with his nights and to his horror, he even had inappropriate dreams about her.
She is also oblivious to the fact that he's got...connections that left him no monetary worries, since he was 13. That, and their father and the school's principal, also his boss, are good friends...which is a bonus.
And why she's not allowed in his room? How will he explain away his collection of guns and loaded cartridges, and other exorcist paraphernalia? And seeing numerous soiled tissues on the floor?
That, and said principal, is their older half-brother who's ancient, as in, several millennia older than them.
OK, sure he treats him nicely, but due to heritage, only truly considers him his mother's son, while his sister was truly the man's sibling, so is more interested in her very normal lifestyle.
Little did Yukio know, that his sister will come in contact with the supernatural. Just not the ones he knows.

By twilight, Rin got mail from a friend.
Rin-chan,
I know you know that Wakako-chan's
acting weird lately. So I kept tabs on her.
I know its stalking since I liked her, but
she looks...off lately. Then a day ago, she
didn't come home. When I asked her folks,
they said she told them she asked for their
permission to go out with friends on a short
vacation. Its the location that's interesting.
Mt. Hikami. Its a known suicide place with
a strong link to some weird religion regarding
death and water. I'll send you files to your
mail address.
And I asked her friends who swore they're
at home, so she lied to her parents and went
there alone. She may have done the unthinkable.
Help me find her and hopefully, she's alive.
We leave tomorrow at 5 for the shinkansen.
I told my parents I'll be out with guys on
'boys-only vacation' for a week. Make an excuse.
'Well, I better see what kind of place this is before I agree.' Rin swore while pocketing her phone before cooking dinner.
Moreover, her father's doing a job in Italy due to his position in the clergy so won't be back for a while, and Yukio's getting ready for the Entrance Exams so she can't bother them both.
Sighing, she would have to leave in secret, unnoticed. That, and withdraw some spending money, and wake super-early to make breakfast for Yukio.
Yukio won't be too happy about the note he'll find tomorrow, no doubt.
Hours later the next day, Yukio saw covered pots on the stove, and a note under the seasonings tray on the table.
Yu-chan,
Remember our classmate Wakako? The girl
Takashi has a crush on? She's about to do
something stupid or at least, that's what he
thinks. For all I know she went on solo vacation
or something but considering where she went,
he freaked out.
Mt. Hikami is notorious as a suicide location
next to Aokigahara after all. She lied to her
parents about a vacation with friends who all
told Takashi they know nothing about that, and
are all at home, having their own spring plans.
We'll see if she's there for vacation, or...ulp...
If she really did, how are we going to explain this?
I cooked enough food to last you a day, and I left
you money in my room incase I took days. I just
got my pay from my online job.
Yukio twitched, and took out his phone.

True Cross Academy...a certain flaky Headmaster answered. 'Oh, calling so early in the morning Okumura-kun?'
/Headmaster, since I need to chase after neesan who went with a former schoolmate to make sure a friend of theirs doesn't do something stupid, you can have the food she made for me for the whole day so its not wasted./ said Yukio in a stressed, hasty manner. /She planned on staying home and that meant she's hidden from you-know-what until the atmosphere smoothens over but this changes things! I have to watch over her and follow her to Mt. Hikami!/
'Ohya? Well, I'll be obliged. Just make sure the wrong ones don't find her, alright? I'll be at your house to take the goodies~' and he put his phone down.

At the Monastery, Yukio took four guns, and a load of cartridges and other spells to stuff in his suitcase's hidden compartments and two sets of spare clothes above it. He went to Rin's room to find a paper brown envelope and tore it open to find a thick wad of cash containing...exactly a hundred pieces of 10000 yen bills. She left him a hundred grand.
'...what is her online job?' he sputtered as this money was close to what he usually earns as a Middle-Class Exorcist.
Shaking his head to ask her about this later, he hurried as there's a massive amount of Coal Tars in the streets.
The King of Rot, is actively looking for her in their town, and had sent a message to his boss.

On a shinkansen where Rin is very, veeeery safe...from demons, but she's currently looking over the files about their case.
'Takashi, you sure about this?' Rin frowned as she looked at the files. 'By the looks of this, its dangerous.'
'Frankly I don't believe in ghosts.' said Takashi wryly.
'I wish I didn't. I just hope we can find Wakako before we see a real one.' she shuddered.
She never told anyone.
She could see ghosts and other things. But who'd believe her? She started seeing a day after her sixteenth birthday, but did not say anything about it and pretended they don't exist.
Upon arrival at their final stop, they got off into a small town.
But Rin sensed that the town they're in...has a very unusual atmosphere.
'Rin?' Takashi frowned at Rin's reaction and expression upon stepping foot into the village.
She looked very disturbed.
Unknown to Takashi, she sees a LOT of ghosts!
'...this town gives me the heebie jeebies.' she said with a shudder. 'Let's find a hotel as a base so we can go up the mountains.'
'Right...you do that, I'll ask if anyone's seen Wakako.' and the two parted ways.
Rin asked around about Wakako as well, showing people their class photo.
'Oh, another one eh?' said a man. 'Go to Kurosawa's Antiques. Hisoka can be of great help.'
'Thank you.' Rin bowed politely before running off.
Unknown to her and her friend, and Yukio who followed them, this is the start of something horrifying.
