Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, but I love to write fanfics about it. This idea came to me in the shower one day after I'd heard my parents talking about my mental therapist.

Twelve year old Sybill Trelawney came home to her Grandmother, Cassandra Trelawney. "Sybill, come in here." said Cassandra. She sounded stern.

"Yes, Grandmama?" asked Sybill as she walked into the dining room where her Grandmother was sitting at the end of the table looking very serious. Sybill sat at the other end facing her Grandmother.

"Sybill, I just got a call from your mental therapist." said Cassandra.

"Yeah, I was just there, but I walked home because I forgot my bus pass." said Sybill.

"Right, well, Sybill, your therapist said that you have been talking about suicide and that you said that you see death everywhere." said Cassandra.

"Yes, I did mention that." said Sybill.

"Sybill, you can't be talking about that or they're going to take you away from me!" exclaimed Cassandra, she now had Sybill by the shoulders and was shaking her.

"You told me not to lie, so I'm not lying." said Sybill.

"You are lying, stop it, stop making this up." yelled Cassandra. She shook Sybill so hard that she heard a small pop. She stopped when she saw that Sybill was staring into space as if she were in a trance.

"Sybill?" she asked.

Sybill breathed in raspilly. "The Seer shall lose her pride and joy," she said in a wierd voice.

"Oh, Sybill, you're making a prediction, keep going my child!" exclaimed Cassandra. She was now thrilled and had her hands clamped over her mouth with tears in her eyes.

"They who specialize it sepperation will take the innocent child to an orphanage where she will meet an unusual child bent on ruling the world of magic, she will be his companion until she is adopted by an odd couple, she will be taken care of and eventually reunited with the Seer until the Seer meets her fate, her pride and joy will live on and be protected by half the odd couple." Sybill continued. With that, she returned to normal.

"Sybill, you have my gift you can see the future." said Cassandra.

"Yeah and you can jump off the empire state building and get back up unharmed." said Sybill.

"You had a prediction, don't you remember?" asked Cassandra.

"No." said Sybill.

"But you did, you mean you really don't remember?" asked Cassandra.

"Sorry." said Sybill. She went upstairs to her room.

As Cassandra watched her grandaughter she thought about the prediction. She knew exactly what it meant, but for some reason, she didn't care, she just knew that she had to make Sybill remember the prediction.

A/N: Hey ya'll, how was the first chapter? Please tell me what you think, but be nice.
