The moon cast itself flawlessly across the black water that appeared to connect with the shadowed sky that enveloped the world. The dark limbs of the trees stretched out to caress the horizon and each individual leaf glowed a phenomenal emerald in the light of the stars. Not a thing moved, respecting the fragile serenity that stood in the balance.

Amongst it all stood a lone figure with the water up to her ankles, head bent back so that the icy blue eyes could take in as much of the clear sky as possible. He appeared oblivious to the chill that accompanied the night and was completely lost in the spectacular beauty.

"You're going to get sick if you stay out here, idiot." Kurogane called from the banks, breaking the blonde from his thoughts.

"Stop worrying so much." Fai laughed and held out a hand; waving for the other to come stand next to him. "Come on Abe."

Kurogane rolled his eyes, too tired to protest; he removed his shoes and rolled his pants up to his knees. Once he reached the blonde he looked around and groaned. "What?"

Fai sighed and pointed up. "Just look." He spoke in little more than a whisper and instead let his gaze turn upward once again.

After a moments pause Kurogane could only manage an irritated sigh and followed the other's instructions. And soon he found himself forgetting the cold water and knowing little more than the serene velvety black night.

"It's really beautiful isn't it?" Fai smiled warmly stretching his hands out to grasp the lights that beamed from over head.

"Yeah." Kurogane said as he watched the blonde with a smile hinting along his lips. "Now come on the last thing we need is you getting sick." With that he grabbed ahold of the lithe manand tossed him over his shoulder.

"Oh! You're such a man, Kuro-tan!" Fai giggled as he pretended to struggle but did little more than shift into a more comfortable possition.

"Then that makes you my mistress doesn't it?" Kurogane growled, his grin spreading as he leaned forward pressed a rough kiss to the other's lips.
