From: Kris
To: Junior
I Remember: The way you looked at me as we sat beneath the stars. How you said you could see me, I never told you this but I believed you. Also, the way you leaned into me as we kissed under those very stars. After that, I somehow knew things would never be the same.
I Remember: The look on your face as our love ended. The tears in my eyes clouded me from seeing you, but the pain was still there. As you walked away we were both bruised and broken, but the love we had remained as the fire was put out. It always survived.
I Remember: The product of our tryst, our "baby", Flame, who brought us together one night in the barn, but eventually tore us apart.
I Remember: The music blaring out of the speakers, pulsing through our bodies, as we danced at the club, not wanting to ever say goodbye.
I Remember: The look on your face, as you found me in your barn, shovel held high in defense, ready to pounce, but you just stood in awe. You couldn't believe I was back.
I Remember: The way your leg shook as we sat outside the chapel, waiting for our number to be called so we could be man and wife, but our number was called. The thing was we weren't there.
I Remember. The way you smiled as I said the three most dangerous words a person could ever say, I Love You. I have only said it to three people and actually meant it, Wildfire, Flame, and You.
And I Remember: The happiest night of my life. The night I became Mrs. Junior Davis. The night our love was shown. The night I was given Wildfire. The night I married you.
You may ask why I am writing this, and honestly I have no idea. I guess it is something I would like you to have with you always. No matter if I'm gone or you are, I would just like you to know... I Remember.
Love Always,
Kris Furillo Davis.
