Word count: 100 on the nose, baby!
Sam almost missed the ice-encrusted figure lying behind a piece of driftwood.
"Dean!" he barked sliding to a stop beside his brother and gently rolling him onto his back.
Dean coughed and spluttered, as his too cold cheeks were gently slapped.
"Hey, hey, you with me? What made you think a dip in a lake in North Dakota in January was a good idea, huh?" Sam was trying to force frozen limbs out of half-frozen clothing.
"NnnnnnnOT, mmmmy idddddea," Dean chattered. "Ellelllelllemmmmeennntal."
"Did you get 'em?"
"'Ccccourse."
"Next time? How about getting it before it dunks you like a donut..."
A/N: WifeyMcwiferson was curious about the stories behind our pen names... My original pen name was lam – my initials. I used it on another site until I was beset upon by bullies and left the site. I was afraid they would follow me here, so I changed my pen name. My first encounter with other fangirls was through that site and we went from the chat board there to IMing each other. I needed an IM handle really fast one night, so with no forethought and really as a joke, I picked "deangirl" – because I am, and but mostly because I'm not a girl and don't embody the silliness of stalkerness that it implies (ie I'm not "jensen-girl) – in other words, it was a joke and meant ironically. Not that Dean isn't my favorite or that I care who knows it! Anyway, "deangirl" was gone, so I stuck the 1 on at the end... and the rest is history. My handle everywhere now is deangirl1. And I don't run away from bullies anymore...
