Shopping at Target

HiJack.

12 Days of HiJack. Modern AU. Prompt 7, day 7. Holiday Shopping.

Hiccup sighed as Jack placed their adoptive son, Timothy "Toothless," into a shopping cart. The 2 year old smiled and clapped his hands.

"DADDY PUSH! DADDY PUSH!" He cheered.

Jack laughed and pushed him into the Target in front of them.

Hiccup sighed and followed.

"Jack," he huffed, "we have to get everything we need! Christmas is in a few days!"

"PAPA SHOPPING!"

Jack laughed and nodded, "He likes shopping. He's a girl..."

"PAPA MAMA! PAPA MAMA!"

Hiccup slapped himself mentally.

'Damn it Jack,' he thought, 'you know you're the woman in this relationship! I always top...'

He glared at his husband, who just laughed with their son.

Hiccup sighed and turned to his list.

2. New plate mats

3. Beer

4. Shot glasses

6. Sprinkles

7. Gifts for Merida, Astrid, Elsa, Anna, Eugene, Kristoff, and Rapunzel.

Wait...he never added beer or shot gla-

"Daaaad..." he groaned.

Of course, Stoick had to add that in...

"Okay," Hiccup said, "Jack, can you handle Toothless while I get the wrapping paper?"

Silence.

"Jack?"

...

"Jack?"

Hiccup turned. Jack and Toothless were gone.

"DAMN IT JACK!"

Jack smiled as he held Toothless. The toddler giggled as they watched Hiccup storm past them.

He had the cart with him.

Jack shook his head and looked down onto Toothless' eyes, "Papa's being silly, isn't he?"

Toothless giggled and nodded.

Hiccup walked past them again.

The cart had a few things in it.

Jack shifted Toothless and handed over the slushee from the Little Ceasers inside the store.

Hiccup walked past.

More things in the cart.

"Papa shop!"

Hiccup stopped and looked over.

Jack smiled as Toothless waved.

Hiccup groaned.

He just spent the last hour or so getting everything!

He just spent the whole day sho-

Oh...

He glared at Jack, who smiled back sweetly as Toothless slurped his slushee.

Hiccup sighed silently as they walked out.

The Gods hated him...

"Thanks for nothing," he said sarcastically.

Jack and Toothless just laughed.

Hiccup groaned and continued to their car.

He swore, the gods really did hate him...
