The door slammed shut then it was dead silent. The kind of silence you hear after a storm when the rainbow appears. However, this time there was no rainbow, just quiet. He sighed as he watched her walk away.

"You screwed up this time haven't you Tony." He asked himself.

"Yah I would say you have" The voice startled him. He had not heard the door open, but then again he was not paying attention. He turned around to look at Gibbs

"What should I do?" He asked his boss. The older agent sighed

"Well it depends," he said and Tony looked at him with a questioning expression. "Do you love her?" he nodded as Gibbs took a step towards him

"Then go after her you dumbass" Tony stalled "But-"

Gibbs shook his head "Just go DiNozzo for god sake"

He nodded grabbing his jacket off the rack and almost running into the door. Smiling Gibbs looked out the window of his agents' apartment to see Tony running to his car, not caring about the storm above his head. Sighing he spoke to himself.

"Damn, well there goes rule twelve"

He unlocked the door of her apartment, hanging his jacket then placing his keys (which included her spare) upon the counter. The bedroom door closed so he pressed his ear against it trying to determine if his girlfriend was in there. Silent sobs could faintly be heard on the other side.

"What do you want DiNozzo" Ziva sniffed from the other side. 'Fuck' he thought 'she is really pissed'

"Can we talk?" He asked "Please?" She huffed then opened the door slightly, obviously hesitant. Then she sighed, fully opening it and pointed fiercely towards the bed. Cowering at her gaze, he walked over to where she was pointing and sat down. Her eyes were puffy and bloodshot making it obvious that she had been crying. She paused before she spoke

"How do I know you will not just leave Tony?" She asked the sadness and frustration evident in her voice. Abruptly he stood up, cupping her face in his hands and staring her straight into her dark brown eyes.

"Because I love you" He whispered. She jerked away

"That's not enough!" She screamed breaking into sobs once more. He stepped closer, once again face to face. His forehead against hers.

'She wants reasons.' He thought to himself 'I'll give her reasons.' He stopped to ponder his answer.

"I know im not perfect Ziva-" she cut him off "Obviously" she stated in disgust and anger. "I have had my heart broken by you before Tony"

"But I have changed Z. I didn't have any reason too before, but now I do" Her eyes softened but she kept up her hard exterior. "Oh yes?" She spat "What would that 'reason' be?"

"You. Ziva I've changed for you" That's what did it. Dropping her boundaries, she practically collapsed in his arms. Leaning down he closed his eyes, and kissed her. Once they pulled apart, she looked at him with red but loving eyes.

"I love you my ninja. Please believe me?" She nodded

"I do, I love you too Tony DiNozzo"

And they leaned into the embrace, once more their mouths connecting with their partners
