Hey everyone, how've you all been. It's been a long time coming, but I'm here to present the NEW FIRST CHAPTER OF INTERTWINED FATES!

So I won't bother with any pointless banter and let you get started on reading right away. HOPE YA' LIKE IT! ~(V )~

Edited 6-2-15: Made a few minor changes, just a few descriptions were changed out. It basically reads the same.

Falling, falling. It was something he had felt so many times, but this was different. It felt like nothing. There was no rush of wind, sound or any light. Him against the darkness. A black abyss that seemed to have no beginning or end. There was nothing for what distance existed. Just an endless void.

How long had he been here? How much longer is this going to last? Is there an end in sight? Will there be an end? Why is he here? What was he doing before? Why-

Sora

The sudden voice woke him from unconsciousness. A rush of noise overloaded his senses. Then came the sensation of something relentlessly beating against his skin.

He open his eyes. What little light there was entered his blurred vision. It was dark, but not unnaturally like before. He could barely make the shapes that were in front of him. There seemed to be a wave of something rushing past him and towards the ground.

His senses gradually cleared. The unyielding rain continued to pour on everything in the vicinity. Where was he? As far as he could tell, nothing here resembled anything he'd seen on Destiny Island. The forest was dense, full of plant life he had never seen before. There was nothing here, at least for the moment, that could bring any clue as to where he is.

Sora moved his arm, hissing in pain as dull ache radiated through him with the simple gesture. He bit his lip and fought through the pain. He got to his knees, taking deep breaths before lifting himself all the way. He leaned against the tree to get him some leverage. The mud clung to clothes and skin, adding to the weight of water that had been absorbed into the fabric. He held his arms close to keep hold of any warmth. Though nature didn't want help in any way, then a cold gust rushing between the trees. The winds cut right through his clothes, sent shivers up his spine.

He needed to get out of the rain. To some place. Somewhere where he could get some rest. Anything out of this howling storm. Sora pushed of the tree, his feet shuffled ahead. His body protested with every move, the weight of the wind and rain increasing with every step. It felt numb against his skin. He just needed a place to rest. Just for a few minutes, then he could get back home. "That sounds like a good idea," Sora muttered, the sound of his own voice barely reaching his ears.

Something snagged his shoes. He lost his footing. His response wasn't quick enough to catch that nearby branch. Everything became a blurred as he fell forward. His hands hit mud's surface, instantly sliding from their place of impact. He kept going. The steep hillside continue sending further down the slope. He flipped over at any attempt to slow or stop completely. His arms scraping against rocks and wood lined across the surface. Any branch he took hold of snapped under the smallest amount of pressure.

Then it stopped, the rush of something icy against his face. It was quiet. Silent even. Away from all the chaos. Then he took a steady breath. The water enter his nose and mouth. He scrambled to his hand and knees. He broke through the surface, trying his hardest to get oxygen back in his system while coughing out the water he just breathed in. Sora whipped his head around till he spotted the stream's edge. He stumbled straight for it, crashing back into a water every so often. One he longer felt the water, he collapsed where he stood, rolling to his side where he felt the least pain. He was too confused about this entire situation but now he couldn't care less. He was drenched, cold and tired. For now he could use some sleep.

Get up.

A strange feeling of urgency woke him from a deep sleep. He didn't care, he just wanted some more sleep. His mind relapsed, the sense of urgency returning every so often. He just wanted to be left alone. Just a few more minutes. He turned to his side, pulling the downy covers over his head. He buried his face further into the pillow. It all felt so soft and comforting. It was soft.

Soft…

Sora's eyes shot open. He practically leaped from the blankets. Though he didn't move them out of the way and ungracefully landed on a hardwood floor. His face planted on the ground with one of his legs hanging in the air. "Ow, ow, ow." He used his free left arm to push himself up so his face wasn't on the floor. Then he stopped as he sensed the rest of him falling forward, his back hitting solid ground.

"Ow." Thankfully if someone walked in, all they'd see was was a mass of blanket sprawled across the floor. With a pained sigh, Sora pushed himself up, with great care this time, so his back meet the edge of the bed. He found it more difficult than normal until he realized he wasn't using his right arm. Then he noticed something stranger.

It wouldn't move.

At least, it felt stiff. He tried bending it but even with great effort it hardly budge. Confused he moved the covers out of the way to inspect it.

Bandages were lined from the shoulder to his fingertips. There was on his other appendages, but not as much as his arm. He poked at it with his left hand. They were expertly woven, but it looked like they were somewhat loose. Looking closer they appeared to be old. But why would he have bandages on?

"This is so confusing?" Everything was a blur. He remembered being on the island, and suddenly found himself in that forest. Now he's in this room, probably someone's house, unable to move his right arm that's apparently injured. It's like Traverse Town all over again.

The sound of footsteps caught his attention. Sora glanced in their direction until his eyes reached the door. He slowly stood from his nest of blankets as the door creaked open.

Once Sora saw the owners face he was completely speechless. It was impossible. There's no way he should be here. Unless he's dreaming or hallucinating. Maybe. That makes sense.

But the person's grin begged to differ. The blonde teen stood there leaning on the door frame, somewhat reveling in Sora's confusion.

"Roxas?"

His smirk grew wider, "I didn't think you'd get up so late."

Sora had to do a double take. He turned to the back wall of his room before looking back. And once more. He was really there. Roxas, his own Nobody, just standing there. Smiling without a care in the world. Like this was normal. And the way he dressed completely threw him for a loop.

A maroon shirt with a ivory vest and brown shoes to match, grey slacks and a belt with two empty sheaths attached. His appearance was completely different from his normal get up which begged for many questions.

"How are you-? And when did you-? We were, I mean, I was on the island! How did- Where are we?"

Roxas stood there, taking on the brunt of the questions. He gave a wry smiled before stopping Sora in his tracks. "I'm not sure about some of those questions but I'll try my best to answer them. And before I do that, you need to eat." And he disappeared from the doorway.

"Hey- wait!" Sora tripped over the blankets and himself as he scrambled towards the door. His left hand caught the doorway before falling for the umpteenth time. "Roxas!" The other teen stopped in his track. "At least tell me about this," he said, pointing at his bandaged arm.

"Eat first, questions later." Then Roxas continued down the hall at a quickened pace.

Roxas soon returned with a tray of food in tow. Sora woofed down most of it once he realized how hungry he was. Meanwhile Roxas pulled a chair from the desk in the room and situated himself next to the bed. "So, what do you wanna ask?"

Sora paused for a moment. There was a lot he wanted to ask, but he wasn't sure which question he should bring up first. His eyes darted around the room, his fork tapping against the plate. "Where are we?"

Roxas leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. "I'm having a hard time figuring that out," he muttered. "What I do know that we're near a small village called Lancken or Granitz; which is part of a country called Germany."

"Germany?"

"Yeah, I'm not entirely sure myself, but that's what I've been hearing from the locals."

"And this place?" Sora asked, waving his fork in circles.

"A nice couple let us stay here to rest. They even lent us some clothes since ours," he paused, "are out there, I guess."

Sora lifted a brow. "How are they 'out there'? What we wear is perfectly fine."

Roxas stood up and pointed at himself. "You see what I'm wearing. The stuff they have almost looks like the clothes from Port Royal. Well, they're not as sophisticated but it's close! And you stood out like a sore thumb!"

"Alright, alright! We'll stick to this world's clothes." As Roxas as back down another thing occurred to Sora. "Hey, how did you get here? I know you're a Nobody, at least you were, but now you're out here again." He poked Roxas' face a few time. "Yep, you're definitely here."

Roxas slapped his away his hand. "Of course I am!" He said with mild annoyance. He crossed his arms, mulling over the question for a minute. "I'm not sure myself." He sighed. "I just saw darkness for a while and then suddenly I'm in a forest." When he looked back at Sora, he sat there with his hand to his chin in a contemplative manner. "Sora?"

"Maybe you're a figment of my imagination. Or I'm hallucinating. Or I could be dreaming. Maybe it's a combination of the three. Then I'm not really in this 'Germany' place..."

Roxas grabbed ahold of Sora's shoulders, shaking him back a forth. "Sora quit goofing around! This isn't some magical fantasy filled with candy and rainbows! And I'm not some delusion that randomly spawned out of your head!"

"I! Get! It!" With that Roxas let go of the other teen's and let him fall back onto the bed.

"Gezz." Roxas let out sigh. "You got anything else? I need to hurry up and go."

"Go where?"

"The market in Lancken. I've been going there and buying food for the old couple living here." He leaned back in his chair, the front legs hovering above the ground. "Since they were kind enough to let us stay, I figured I'd help out somehow."

Sora hummed in response. He stared at the ceiling above him. His hand unconsciously running along the bandages on his right arm. He had tried to move it as much as he could the entire time and even now.

"And my arm?"

Roxas sat there for a moment, staring at the bandages. "I'm not sure."

"You're not sure about a lot of things."

"I have my reasons but I seriously can't tell with your arm! Go ahead and take those off and see what I'm talking about." Sora shot him a confused look. "It's not injured if that's what you're worried about."

Curious, Sora undressed his arm. At first he thought there were a few layers to the bandages until he felt the air hit his skin. Then he took off faster and faster until there was a complete pile forming on the bed sheets.

He had no idea what to make of it. Roxas said it wasn't injured, but that didn't appear to be the case. Immediately past his shoulder his skin turned to this grayish blue color. His skin didn't look like skin. It was uneven, bumpy and had an appearance more like something he'd see on a lizard or a snake.

"That might have," Sora's head snapped towards Roxas. His face was downcast, his attention on a random piece of floorboard. "It might have been my fault."

"H-Huh?"

Roxas looked up, his gaze still avoiding Sora's. He took a deep breath. "When we first arrived here, I found these two glowing gear-crystal things. They looked harmless enough, and they were a source of light. So I said 'what the heck' and picked them up. The moment I touched one, Oblivion and Oathkeeper appeared. And well," Roxas moved his hand to the sheaths that were attached to his belt. They Were empty before, but now Sora noticed the sword handles sticking out from them. One black, the other silver. As Roxas pulled each blade, Sora noticed their structure and designs similarities to the weapons he had mentioned.

"This is what happened when they came in contact with it." Sora stared blankly at the swords. They still have that air to them, that those swords are keyblades. Maybe it's because of appearance alone, but what exactly did the crystal do.

"Once that happened," Roxas continued, "I took the other one. Looking back, I wasn't thinking. But I searched around for a while and found you at the river bank. Then that other crystal thing starting reacting." His vision drifted towards the scaled arm.

Throughout the explanation, Sora realized what it had been leading to. Whatever happened with Oblivion and Oathkeeper also happened with his arm. What specifically changed he didn't want to know. It all put knots in his stomach. His arm didn't even feel like an arm anymore. It was foreign but now it was part of him. Was it permanent? Would it ever heal?

Roxas could spot the confusion on the other's face, the teens hand running along his grayed arm. In all honestly blamed himself for the current situation. If only he'd left those things there they would've had less problems to deal with.

He stood from the chair, picking up the food tray from the bed's edge. Sora probably needed time to think. Plus, he himself wasn't sure about this whole situation either.

"Hey, Roxas." He stopped in his tracks. He faced his other half, raising a brow at the other teen's expression. Now he's smiling?

"Think you'll need help with that shopping?"

Roxas grinned. "And here I thought you'd wanna laze about all day in bed."

"Hey, I'm not that lazy!"

"The raft."

"That doesn't count!"

"Really? Hmm, well there was that one time you were out for a year."

"That was different!" Sora promptly threw his pillow at the him, hitting the teen's shoulder. Roxas threw It back nailing Sora in the face. He laughed as Sora struggled with holding the pillow. He quickly gave up before smooshing it atop his legs.

"Seriously, I do wanna help out. Can't let one roadblock stop me."

"Even if it's an arm?"

Sora gave a toothy grin. "Even if it's an arm."

Roxas stared for a while before sighing. "Geez, you're always optimistic about everything."

"Someone's gotta be!"

"Right," he responded, scratching his head. "Okay, since you're coming with, get dressed. Clothes are in the closet. Shoes are out front. I'll be on the porch."

"Aye aye!" Sora saluted before the other left the room. He leaned back on his left arm. His attention moved back to his arm. What going to happened now, he wondered.

A middle aged man sat in the middle of piles of paperwork. For sometime now, he stayed in that very spot. Confined to the room if only to avoid doing anymore work. By opting out of being chased by anyone, he had been talking on the phone for the past few hours. With nobody. He had been exploiting the excused, shooing away people and work because of this so called important conversation.

Soon another knock came at his office door. Before his could follow up with his current schemes, a young lady, with long elegant hair and violet eyes, had stepped inside. She was adorned by a black uniform, decorated with silver trinkets. Behind her was by a much taller, redhead young man dressed in a similar uniform with the same basic style.

Once the man saw this, he hastily put his phone down. He shoved a few piles of paper off his desk, most of it scattering across them floor.

"You called for us," the girl spoke up. She took a seat on a small couch in front of the man's desk. The redhead simply leaned against said furniture.

"Yes, I'll make this brief." He turned in his seat, pulling a map out that showed a part of northern Europe. "Over the past few weeks, founders in the Vorpommern-Rügen District of Germany have reported an increase of Akuma activity; the majority being spotted in the western part of the region. There have been no information why this has occurred, but they are increasing at an alarming rate. Currently, you are only Exorcist off mission, so I'll be sending you to investigate."

"Do you think it might be Innocence?" The redhead asked with wry smile.

"In all honesty, I'm not sure. The possibility of that being the case has always been small."

OOOOoo, Sora's in a new plaaaaace and what's up with his arrrmmmmm! And Roxas is there for reasooooooons! OHH, WHAT'LL HAPPEN NEXT! Though if you were here before and saw the original chapters you could somewhat see where this is going (-w- ). But then again I didn't get that far last time…

Anyway, long time no see everyone. Heheeeeh…

Honestly, I've been putting this off for a while. The main reason being, I've had absolutely no idea on how to start up this fic again, considering the amount of people are searching for a DMGxKH fic. AND YOU ALL KNOW HOW MANY THERE ARE! Plus it was very intimidating to write at all since there are so few fics in this section and there's that one person who happens to stumble across KH:IF go "OOOoo, this looks interesting!" only to be severely disappointed by the writing and how short it was (like gezz, I was even starting shaking while writing this thing)

Now Imma say this now, it was crap the first time I wrote it aND I DON'T CARE WHAT ANY OF YOU SAY OR THINK, IT WAS BAD AND I REALIZE THIS NOW! I mean, come on, I wrote this when I was what, 10, 11 maybe? That being said, it probably wasn't gonna last.

But me being me and leaving my painfully bad work for the world to see, there were those few encouraging words that kept popping up every so often.

So here I am now.

And I have one this to ask you all. Before I write the next chapter, I want you guys to do start doing something.

Help me out.

Give me reviews, point out my mistakes, tips on writing a sentence or whole paragraphs better. You've gotta let me know if I need to or should fix something. Anything to let me know that you guys really wanna support this. Cuz' I know if we're relying on my writing skills and motivation (with all the schoolwork and soon college) it's just gonna fall flat again. I know many of you've been looking for that one good DGMxKH fic and I wanna make this the best I can for all of you.

Betas would also be great but I'm not exactly sure how the system works, heheh…

So...yeah, that's all I got…

Till then, see ya' in the next chapter \( -w- )
