Brooke was driving home along the back roads singing along to Faithfully by Journey, she grinned as thoughts of her fiance Julian flooded her mind, She looked away from the road just quick enough to turn the volume of the radio up but as she looked back towards the road she saw a car speeding directly towards her, she quickly swerved causing her car to roll down onto the river bank and slowly start to slide into the water, she was stuck her car wouldn't start and her seatbelt was jammed, Brooke quickly reached for her phone and dialled Julian's number "hello" he said after it rung a few times Julian help, my car is sliding into the river and I can't get out" she said in a panic "I'll be right there" he told her as he dropped his phone and quickly picked up his keys as he rushed out of the door, He was so glad he had dropped Emilie off at Haley's only an hour before so the only thing on his mind was Brooke.
As he drove as fast as he called he called an ambulance and anyone else he needed to meet him there, Julian was the first to arrive, as he practically jumped out of his car he saw that Brooke's car as almost completely submerged, He didn't waste any time and dived directly into the water not letting the cold affect him, he swam to the car and broke one of the back windows and swam into the car, he looked at her a saw she wasn't breathing, he quickly searched through her bag and grabbed the nail file he knew she always had out of it and began to cut at her seatbelt, he quickly lifted her out of the seat and brought her up to the surface.
Julian took Brooke in his arms and quickly laid her down on the road and immediately began CPR "come on baby breathe" he kept repeating, tears mixing with the water dripping from his face "Please just breathe Brooke" he begged as he continued, when it seemed that she wasn't going to breathe again he placed his head on his chest "please" he begged as he felt her hand brush against his, he looked over at her head and began CPR again until she coughed up the water she had swallowed, Julian quickly pulled her into his arms and held her close "It's okay just breathe Brooke. you're okay" he said to her over and over again "you saved me" she whispered, coughing, He held her tighter and waited for an ambulance to arrive "I'll always save you" he whispered as he placed a kiss on her check happy she was safe and in his arms.
