Drip drop, pitter-patter, she could hear the sound of the rain, pounding against the window, the reflection of her face, covered with tears. The wind howled, echoing her desperation to see him.
False hope, struck by her father's thunderbolt, he would never return.
The memories that flooded through her, the times he would hold her whenever she needed him to, his voice, and the words that he said. No matter how hard he tried to keep that rebellious and grungy style, he would always be sweet to her. What she missed the most were his eyes, oh how she could look into them forever, her guiding light.
Thalia took one last look at his picture before taking out a knife from the kitchen drawer. The pain that she felt from the knife plunging into her stomach was nothing compared to the pain from being separated from him in different worlds, the land of the living and the land of the dead. All she could see was the blood splattered on the walls, before she was engulfed into eternal darkness. She would never be alone now, from now on; she would be with him forever. Nothing would separate them from now on, not even the gods; they would always be together.
Always.
