Was this it.
Was this his life now, just sitting here atop a random mountain in a old beat up dojo. It was depressing, he was old, alone, and forgotten. A fate worse then death?, maybe but in the end he never wanted to be remembered. It was just he never thought he could feel so alone.
Because if someone told Tien that he would be the last of the Z-Fighters well he wouldn't believe them. It all started with Bulma. A bitter thought came with the idea, not one of actual bitterness but pain.
It was because of Bulma meeting Goku all those years ago that the long strange story had happened at all. Fitting that she started its end too.
December 23rd the day lung cancer took Bulma from this world , the beginning of the end. Years of smoking a whole pack a day caught up to her. Nothing was the same. To be honest he didn't even know she smoked until he got the news.
The two most affected were Goku and Vegeta.
They were both close to Bulma, Goku always seemed to be like a little brother to her and Vegeta was her husband.
One day they both went into the time chamber; to let out grief and rage. At one point or another the door to the chamber exploded. It wasn't a big problem they just used the Dragon Balls. When the door was fixed they went in to check on them. They never found them, it seemed that they just vanished. Couldn't find them in otherworld either.
He still wonders what happened to them. The rest were natural causes. All were gone except him, well at least he thinks. Buu,Roshi, and Piccolo may still be around.
He didn't want to think about Chiaotzu.
Tien stood up and walked to a mirror and looked at his reflection. He looked a lot like Roshi. Wrinkled old skin and a grey beard, the only difference was the third eye.
Why, why out of all of them was he the last. What made him do special, was it his extra eye did give him a longer life span. If it wasn't that then what was it.
It didn't matter anymore, its funny all the times he isolated himself from the others. Now the list of things he would give to have a single friend was endless.
Walking out onto a balcony Tien looked out over the mountain range. The best place to be alone he once thought.
Now it truly was, next to impossible to climb and with the fast changing weather flying in any machine was dangerous. The only way to get up here was with Ki and well if the art was dying during Mr. Satan's time, it was dead now.
Maybe it was time to accept that no one was going to make it up the mountain, no one was going to learn how to use Ki or the crane style. Maybe it was time to give up and find a way to die peacefully.
This was it.
No, this couldn't be it.
Tien balled his hands into fists. Would any of the others give up if they were in his position. No they would not. They would keep fighting until they couldn't anymore and then some.
Running Tien grab his cloak and put it on, if no one was going up the mountain he would come down. Why would he even think of giving up. He beat Goku ,fought Nappa, stalled Cell from absorbing 18, He save Gohan from Buu. He was a 'NO' he still is a warrior.
If something in this world gave a life longer then most it meant something. He could never forget the past and what was lost but he had to look to the future because something out there wanted him to have a long one. With that Tien flew off, a new fire burning in his heart.
