She knows
I haven't written for Doctor Who in forever... In fact, this is my first good Doctor Who story.
Basically the Doctor's thoughts during that one bit of The Satan Pit. That episode scarred me. But it also gives me all the feelings. So I wrote a thing.
Doctor Who is proudly owned by the BBC. They're cool.
"If they get back in contact, if you talk to Rose... Just tell her... Tell her..."
He thinks of every touch, when he grabs her hand and they run. And they run so far into the unknown world and they never stop running.
He thinks of every glance, when two pairs of brown eyes meet and so many words are spoken in one brief moment of eye contact.
He thinks of every smile, his huge grin and her Rose Tyler tongue-between-teeth-smile. The victory smiles and the sad smiles and the you're-my-best-friend smiles.
He thinks of every single secret stolen kiss, too many to count. Each one a secret, an unspoken promise.
He thinks of what he'd do to keep her safe. Anything and everything. He'd go to the ends of the universe if it meant his Rose was happy and safe.
"Oh... She knows."
And as he falls, he whispers for what he knows could be his last words. "Rose Tyler-"
And he hits the ground. And he's alive, to finish his sentence another day.
A review would mean so much to me! Thank you for reading!
