Hi everyone! This is my first story so ENJOY!

Happy Birthday Wise Girl

I woke up to an unfamiliar lack of warmth. "Percy?" I muttered, my eyes still closed. No response. My eyes fluttered open. I scanned the bed. He wasn't there. Maybe I had overslept, although that was highly unlikely. I glanced at the alarm clock. It was 7:30 a.m. Percy never got up before 8. Where was he? "Percy!" I yelled, cold dread starting to settle in my stomach. Had he been killed by some monster? He was too young to die! I unlocked the door hurriedly and sprinted to the lower level of our apartment.

And there he was, just standing there with a stupid grin on his face, and a plate of blue cheesecake, which was my favorite cake. I ran to him and pulled him into a bear hug. "Don't you ever scare me by waking up early ever again! I thought some monster had killed you!" I mumbled. He looked at me, his eyes sparkling. "No monster could ever kill me, you know that." I gave him my signature glare. "Don't be so cocky, Seaweed Brain, I know your weak spot." I gently prodded it. He winced. "Sorry! Are you okay?" I shrieked. "Yeah, I'm fine, just playing around with you!" he said with a laugh. I glowered again. He gulped.

"Anyway, eat up!" he said. I dug in. It was delicious. I consumed it without stopping until I bit on something hard. I took it out of my mouth and gazed at it. It was a beautiful silver ring with a grey and sea-green gem side by side. It was absolutely beautiful. I looked at Percy. "Annabeth Chase, I've known you for 12 years. You are the most beautiful, kind and funny girl I have ever, and will ever know. So, will you do the honor of changing your last name to Jackson?" By now, there were tears in my eyes. I embraced him. "I will" I whispered into his ear. He patted my hair. I knew he was grinning. "Happy birthday, Wise Girl," he murmured into my hair.
