"But you crieeeed!" Mayu said and grabbed Morishige's hand as they walked outside the movies.
"I didn't cry" Morishige refused.
"You did Shig! I saw you!" Mayu told him and grabbed onto him tighter. "The movie made Shige-nii cry!"
"I did not cry" Morishige repeated. "It was just your imagination"
Mayu crossed her hands. "Nope! You still have a few tears in your eyes you know..."
"I-I do?" Morishige took off his glasses to wipe the tears off.
"Heh..." Mayu laughed. "So you DID cry!"
Morishige's cheeks started heating up and they soon turned into a pale said of red. "Maybe..." He admited.
"I-knew-it!" Mayu said and took Morishige's glasses off his hands.
"H-Hey, Mayu... I need those" Basically, he couldn't see anything without his glasses. He tried to take them off Mayu's hands but failed.
"Shige-nii..." Mayu mumbled. "I think I... Broke them..."
"Y-You did?" Morishige was in a sock. How would he walk home without seeing? "Then... How do I get back home?"
"I can help ya!" Mayu suggested and pulled her friend. "Come on!"
"S-Slow down..." Morishige begged. He wasn't a running type and, without glasses on, it made him feel more upset.
"Ohh! A turtle!" Mayu let go of Morishige and walked to the turtle. "Shig, look how cute it is!"
"1) I cannot see without my glasses and 2) you know I don't like reptiles..." Morishige mumbled.
"Oh... Heh, sorry I forgot" Mayu grabbed his hand again. "Anyways, let's get goin'!"
The two friends kept walking. 'What else could possibly go wrong?' Morishige thought. Sadly for him, every 10 steps they made, Mayu stopped to check on something she found exciting. Morishige didn't want to tell her to stop; He was happy as long as she was happy. If it was like that, why wasn't he enjoying himself? Or... Was he?
That smile Mayu made everytime she clapped her hands, run around, speak... It made Morishige feel butterflies flying around his stomach. He may couldn't see her smile at the moment, but he could imagine her smiling by looking at her blurred silhouette.
'What is that on her hand...' he tried to focus on her hand but it only made her look more blurred. Mayu had something on her hand, excluding his broken glasses, but he couldn't tell what it was...
"We are almost home Shiiiig!" Mayu said. "Just wait until I give you a surprise!"
"O-Okay..." Morishige replied. What was Mayu planning again? His answer got soon replied, when he felt something touching his lips... He realized that Mayu had just kissed him. Morishige couldn't response to her kiss, because Mayu pulled away and giggled.
"Hope you liked the great finale of our walk, Shig!" after saying that, he felt something slip in his hand. It had the same shape with the thing Mayu was holding... Then, Mayu slipped his glasses on his face. His vision turned as clear as it would ever be. He saw Mayu walk away and touched his lips; where Mayu had kissed him.
He decided to check on the thing Mayu handed him. It came out that it was just a piece of paper. He unwrapped it and saw it had something written on it.
'I never broke your glasses! ;)
xoxoxo, Mayu'
Morishige smiled and put the paper on his chest. "The depressing day came out good, huh Sakutaro?" Morishige said to himself as he watched Mayu jump around and walk to her house..
