"It's snowing."

"Isn't that obvious?"

"Then why are you eating ice cream?"

Kazuha paused and raised an eyebrow at her childhood friend. Heiji continued, "I don't get why people would eat something cold on a cold day."

"What's weird about it?" Kazuha said as they resumed walking. "You drink hot coffee during the summer."

Heiji shrugged. "Good point."

Plodding through the thick snow, they continued their journey to Heiji's house. A few minutes later, Heiji spoke up again. "Move over. You're taking up too much space under the umbrella."

"Then you should get a bigger umbrella." Kazuha snapped back.

Heiji retorted with a "You should go on a diet. You're getting wider."

He received a stomp on the foot on that one. Heiji cried out in pain as he clutched on his foot. Kazuha smirked. With a growl, Heiji pointed his umbrella at her, closed it, then snapped it open, spraying her with snow.

"Now you've done it! This is war!"

And with that, the two teenagers got into a snowball fight. But really, it was a disadvantage for Kazuha's part. Every time she threw a snowball, Heiji would block it with his umbrella and then snap it back to her.

A few minutes later, Heiji hefted the umbrella on his shoulder as he smiled smugly at Kazuha. "Give up, Kazuha. You're never gonna win against me."

"We'll see about that." Kazuha said as she threw her ice cream.

SPLAT!

Heiji was hit with a sweet coldness on the face. This time, it was Kazuha's turn to smile smugly at him. "Who's laughing now?"

"Aw come on, you know this'll be sticky once it dries!" Heiji protested.

"Well, you started it! You owe me a new ice cream."

"What?!" Heiji glared at her. "Well, you owe me a new face!"

"Sure. I'll put a more handsome one on top of your ugly face." Kazuha stuck out her tongue.

Before she could stick her tongue back in, however, Heiji leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. Kazuha squeaked and backed away, her face steaming in the cold air. Heiji grinned mischievously. "So, how did your first kiss taste like? Vanilla?"

She threw a snowball at his face. "Ahou!"

Half an hour later, Kazuha and Heiji walked down a snow covered street as they licked their ice creams under a blue umbrella.

Just an ordinary day with a bit of an unordinary event. But then again, it would be boring otherwise.

How was it? Did you like it? I hope you enjoyed! See ya'll next time!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
