Cat sighed as she sat down at her friend's and her usual lunch table. She was upset over something that happened during Sikowitz's class.

Today, Beck and Cat were chosen to play a married couple in front of the class. Cat was overjoyed by this on the inside but didn't dare show it in front of Beck's girlfriend Jade.

Then it happened.

He kissed her.

Well technically she kissed him and regretted doing so very much

She was just caught up in the moment.

Now she was in deep trouble with Jade, her best friend. She would be even more furious if she ever found out the true feelings that Cat had for Beck.

"What's wrong, Lil' Red?" André asked from across the table.

"Nothing." Cat lied and forced a smile. She looked up and saw Jade and Beck walking over to their table.

"I don't want to sit here." Jade told Beck.

"Well I'm going to sit here." Beck said, sitting near Cat.

"Fine." Jade stared at Cat, menacingly.

"So…where's Tori?" André asked.

"Absent." Beck replied, smiling.

"Figures, just when I need her help on my new song." André muttered.

"Whatever." Jade rolled her eyes.

Cat felt Beck's eyes looking at her.

"Hey Cat," Jade began.

"Yes?" Cat smiled.

"Can you go sit somewhere else please? Like with Sinjin or something?" Jade asked, trying to sound sweet.

"Hey!" Beck snapped at Jade.

"What?" Jade snapped back.

"Don't be a bitch!" Beck looked away as if regretting what he said.

Jade stood up and glared at Beck with anger. "WHAT did you call me?" She asked, ice dripping from every word.

"Just…be nice, please? Be mad at me, not her." He looked over at Cat whose face was turning red.

"Why are you defending her all of the sudden?" Jade pointed at Cat.

Beck looked irritated. "It just wasn't her fault, okay?"

"I'm sorry, Jade!" Cat blurted out, looking down.

"Don't be." Beck looked her in the eyes and Cat felt hatred for herself for wanting something she could not have.

"If that's how you feel…" Jade stiffened. "We're over."

"What?" Beck was almost close to smiling.

"I said 'We're over'!" Jade shouted and ran back inside the school.

"I'll go talk with her." Beck said, getting up from the table and going after Jade.

"It's all my fault." Cat said. "I shouldn't have kissed him."

"It'll be fine, Lil' Red." André reassured her. "Jade just needs to cool off. That thing you did in Sikowitz's class didn't mean anything. You were just playing a character."

But I wasn't. Cat thought. I really do love him.

Later after school, Cat was packing things from her locker to her backpack while Beck was walking over to her.

"Hey," He said.

"Hi," She smiled. "What's up?"

"I was just making sure my red headed princess was alright." Beck ran his fingers through Cat's hair.

"Thanks." Cat giggled.

"Look…" Beck began. "Jade and I broke up…"

Cat's head snapped up and she locked eyes with Beck. "Oh Beck, I'm so sorry." She looked down at the floor.

Beck lifted Cat's chin. "Quit saying that." He locked her in a tight embrace and kissed her on the lips.
