At the apartment, Emily Elizabeth was just about to go out. Clifford saw her and grabbed her between her short.

Emily Elizabeth said, "Oh hi Clifford. I'm going out for a while, but I'll be back soon okay."

Clifford whimpered.

Emily Elizabeth said, "Oh, don't worry, I ask Daffodil if she can take care of you while I'm gone."

Clifford whimpered again. Emily Elizabeth placed Clifford down and left.

Clifford sighed and said, "Now what am I gonna do?"

Clifford thought for a minute and decided to go to Emily Elizabeth's room to see Daffodil. Daffodil saw Clifford who was feeling depressed. She went over to him.

Daffodil said, "Hey Clifford, what wrong?"

Clifford sighed and said, "Emily Elizabeth is going out and I'm just feeling sad that she might not come back."

Daffodil said, "Don't worry Clifford. Emily Elizabeth will be back soon."

Clifford said, "But, who is gonna take care of me?"

Daffodil said, "Don't worry Clifford. I'll take care of you."

Clifford said, "Huh? You will."

Daffodil said, "Of course I will."

Clifford said, "Gee, thank Daffodil."

Daffodil said, "Now, would you like me to make you some lunch?"

Clifford said, "Sure. Thank."

So Daffodil went to the kitchen and made Clifford some lunch. She made carrot soup and add some doggie doodles along with it. She went back to the room to give it to Clifford.

Daffodil said, "Alright Clifford. I made carrot soup with doggie doodles."

Clifford said, "Wow, thanks Daffodil." He started eating it."

Daffodil said, "You're welcome Clifford."

Daffodil then went back to sleep. After Clifford was finished, he went to play with this sockspider. An hour later, Daffodil woke up and she realize that Clifford need to take a bath. He went to the livingroom to find him.

Daffodil said, "Oh Clifford, are you here?"

Clifford said, "Hey Daffodil."

Daffodil hold her nose and said, "Ewww Clifford, why do you smell so badly?"

Clifford said, "Oh, I was just playing with Jorge at the mudhole."

Daffodil said, "Well, I think you need a shower."

Clifford said, "What?"

Daffodil said, "Come on. I'll help you."

So Daffodil took Clifford to the bathtub to wash him. She wash his head, face, body, lower body, paws, tail, and back. Soon, he was clean. She gave a towels to Clifford to dry up.

Daffodil said, "There. All clean."

Clifford said, "Thank Daffodil."

Daffodil said, "No problem Clifford. Now it time for you to brush your teeth."

Clifford said, "Nah. My teeth are fine."

Daffodil said, "Nice try Clifford."

So Daffodil went to get a toothbrush and toothpaste to brush Clifford teeth. Later, Clifford's teeth became clean."

Daffodil said, "There you go Clifford. All clean."

Clifford said, "Wow Daffodil, I never knew my teeth would be all minty fresh."

Daffodil said, "That because the toothpaste is minty of course. Which is why it is important for you to brush your teeth."

Clifford said, "I see." Then Clifford started to yawn.

Daffodil said, "Uh oh. I think someone is feeling a little sleepy."

Clifford said, "I guess so."

Daffodil said, "Come on, let get you to bed."

So Daffodil took Clifford to sleep. She covered the blanket around him.

Clifford said, "Thanks Daffodil."

Daffodil said, "No problem my little baby brother."

So they both went to sleep happily.
