The closest pair of the royal Brittanian children were bored one afternoon. After dance lessons, they decided that they wanted to do something different from afternoon tea. Since they had attended a wedding of a rather prominent person yesterday, the inseparable pair decided to play.
We'll meet up at two thirty, he said decisively. Don't be late!
The darling little girl merely laughed and skipped away. When she returned, she was dressed in a white gown. He was dressed up in a fine coat. On top of her pretty little head was a piece of tulle with roses from the garden and on her hands was a small bouquet of wild flowers. She was smiling like the sun.
You look lovely, he whispered before he took her hand. They stole away from their other siblings and ran away to the gardens. Do be quiet!
She was attacked by the giggles. They were quiet as they walked along under the shade of trees. Spring was busy making flowers bloom. It must have looked like quite a sight! The prince and princess thought that maybe someday they could really get married under a canopy of leaves and flowers.
Let's do it here, he said formally. Her blue eyes sparkled and her lips quirked up. He was so princely and so debonair! They were standing under a large oak tree in the middle of the woods. Wildflowers scented the air. I do take you…
"I do take you…"
Euphemia vi Brittania…
"Lelouch vi Brittania…"
"As my lawfully wedded husband…"
As my lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold till death does we part…
"Till death does we part…"
He gasped when she stood up on her tiptoes to kiss him. Blue eyes were laughing. He smiled in spite of himself. She smelled like lavender and she was so soft. When she tugged at his sleeve, he recovered. We didn't have to kiss.
"I can kiss you because we're married," Euphemia scolded lightly to her five-year-old groom. "I hope we'll never be apart…"
Lelouch vi Britannia should have known that royal weddings rarely end happily.
