Gaining Acceptance
Percy's POV
Percy Jackson woke up in a dumpster outside 4th Avenue. Confused, he lay still till he remembered the events of the previous night. He had been attacked by a weird red ogre throwing cannonballs at him. He managed to kill it by stabbing with a weird spear like weapon he had found in his father's study on the day of his father's death. Percy didn't recognize the material but it looked like bronze and it killed the creatures that were trying to kill him. His eyes prickled with tears at the memory of his father's death. Percy held his hands as the life seeped out of his eyes after suffering a fatal wound at the hands of a hellhound. Percy's father Samuel had managed to kill the monster and protect his son but it came at the cost of his own life. A week had passed since that day and Percy was forced to accept that the world of Greek myths that his father had told him as bedtime stories were true and that his mother whose identity was still unknown to him. He remembered his father's last words and he kept on his way to fulfil them. He was going to a camp for people like him and he would be a hero just like his father's last words had asked to him to be.
Nyx's POV
Lady Nyx sat in the realm of night watching her son and felt a pang of guilt of being unable to help her son directly. She hated the laws that her father had made but she agreed with them as they made sense because if the Gods were allowed to tamper with their children's lives then there would be chaos. She was glad that her and her husband Erebus had come to an agreement that they needed a demigod child to have something to watch over. She and Erebus had a found a lovely man who Erebus was okay with being the mortal father of their child. She would have happily had he child with Erebus if not for the fact that they wanted their child to make a difference in the world and that being a full immortal meant that they could not interfere with the events of Earth. She hoped that he would be accepted at Camp Half-Blood but she felt that he would be shunned due to his parentage.
Zeus' POV
Zeus sat uneasily on his throne. In the middle of the summer solstice, it seemed like no-one had any news on any upcoming threats. The gods were still not sure if Kronos had risen yet. He surveyed the gods. Apollo was listening to a tune on his iPod and Hermes was on his phone. Athena was reading a book while Demeter was growing plants around her throne. Artemis was playing with the string on her bow and the rest of the council members were just sitting quietly. There was a sense of growing tension in the air as everyone was scared at the growing possibility of another Titan War. He knew that if Kronos did rise, then this would be the Great Prophecy coming to pass. He played the words in his mind.
"A HALF-BLOOD OF THE STRONGEST GODS

AND SEE THE WORLD IN ENDLESS SLEEP
THE HERO'S SOUL CURSED BLADE SHALL REAP
A SINGLE CHOICE SHALL CHANGE HIS DAYS
