The Brew

Heero enters the kitchen sniffing, and then sees Duo and Aiahku leaning over the stove.
'What are you guys up to?' Heero suspiciously inquires.
'Were making dinner' Aiahku says happily.
Duo looks over his shoulder nodding in agreement. Heero gulps loudly and hurries out of the room.
~~~~~~ Living Room ~~~~~~
Heero hurries into the room.
'Guys, what do you say we go out for dinner tonight?' Heero nervously asks.
Everyone shrugs.
'Guys, Duos making dinner tonight.'
Everyone snaps to attention.
Wufei jumps to his feet. 'Duo is touching something, that I'M going to be EATING?!'
Quatre smiles at Heero and Wufei. 'It's good for Duo to fix dinner.'
'Yeah you're right, but at what cost?' Wufei asks uneasily.
'Our lives apparently.' Trowa responds blankly.
'You guys are mean.' Quatre says sadly. 'He wouldn't poison us on purpose would he?'

.
'Guys!'
Trowa shifts his weight.
Heero scratches his head.
'Well. I guess not.' Wufei says looking at Quatre strangely.
Aiahku walks into the room. 'Hey guys, Duo says it's ready.'
Wufei, Heero and Trowa gulp nervously.
'Lead the way Aiahku.' Quatre smiles.
~~~~~~ Kitchen ~~~~~~
The guys walk into the room and Duo jumps around to look at them and hides something behind his back.
'I knew it! This simpleton is trying to poison us!' Wufei fumes.
'Am not!' Duo shouts back sticking his tongue out.
'Wufei! Be nice to Duo, that was vary rude!' Quatre shouts.
'Yeah' Duo says sadly.
Aiahku looks at Wufei 'What makes you think its poison?'
'Duo is hiding something behind his back!' Wufei snarls. 'Why would he be hiding something that he put in the food?'
'The recipe is a secret. I don't want anyone to know what I put in it.' Duo says still sniffling.
'Well I'm going to have some' Quatre says, happily smiling at Duo.
'Thanks Q, it means a lot.'
'No problem Duo. I for one like your cooking.'
Heero takes a seat at the table. As does Aiahku and Trowa.
Wufei sits down 'Well, I'm not going to eat anything till you guys have some.'
Duo sets the pot on the table and removes the lid.
A wonderful smell fills the room.
Heero raises his eyebrows. 'hmmm. it smells inviting.'
Duo sticks a ladle in the mysterious brew. 'Dig in!'
Aiahku scoops some into his bowl and tastes it. 'It's good!' Aiahku starts scooping more into his bowl till it's full.
Everyone dives for the ladle and they all have a great dinner. And Duo is happy that everyone enjoyed his stew.
Aiahku: So the moral of this story is. If a friend of yours is making the food and you are nervous. Don't worry about it, try some. You will probably like it. And if not then at least your friend will be happy. And in my book, that's vary important.
