AN: This is just a 200 word ficlet about Spike and Dawn in the rain.
"C'mon Dawn," Spike said, trying to usher the young girl towards the way to his crypt.
"But Spike, it's so nice out," she hums contently and stops in her tracks. Her face was directed towards the heavens and a delicate smile graced her face.
"But it's 'bout to rain," he wined and looked up at the sky. Black clouds covered the moon and the stars which left the two in complete darkness.
With his vampiric vision, he could make out her petite form in the inky surroundings. She was spinning around in circles with her hands spread wide. Dark curls were twirling around her body as was her black skirt.
She reminded him of his dark goddess.
He never felt the first drop. Or the second. Or third. He didn't even realize the drops that cascaded around him. He kept his eyes glued on the girl in front of him.
"Rain rain, go away, come again another day," she sings and she accidentally falls and collides with the soft ground.
He reacts quickly and picks her up.
"Thanks Spike," she says and cuddles up against him.
"Not a problem, princess," he grins and looks at her. "No problem at all."
