Because I can't
Among the many things she was good at there was one thing she couldn't do….
Stalking the halls of LVPD was not something she missed over the past four months but at this moment Sara found it was needed.
Shifting the weight in her hand to her free hand she did it gently, Sara could do many things and she had prided herself on it. But this… well this was one thing she couldn't do and it was grating on her last nerve.
"Hey Sara" Archie greeted before eyeing her bundle and grinned but the growl working it's way loose from Sara's mouth made him wheel back a little.
"Where is he" Sara demanded as Archie swallowed hard and nodded to the break room "their all in there… waiting for shift to start" Archie declared far too quickly, it was one thing to annoy Sara when she was in a good mood but it was another thing to get in the line of fire.
Gritting her teeth she stalked towards the break room full of determination, she had seen him drive off to work too many times for her liking over the past four months. Tonight had broken the final straw when in his Texan drawl he wished her a good night and hope she got her rest.
She had waited all but thirty minutes before she snapped and grabbed what she needed and stormed after her husband.
Whom she found laughing along with their fellow co workers in the break room.
"Sara" he gulped before he sprung to his feet racing over to his wife and the carriage she was holding in her hand. Catherine, Warrick and Greg hurried over to them gushing over the gurgling baby being held in the baby carrier.
"Sara why aren't you home" "because I can't… because I can't take it anymore, so now you can" Sara snapped pushing past him to place their daughter on the table.
"So you can… you can sit in doors and talk baby talk while I work" Sara declared as he looked to her and Catherine smirked.
"But your materiality leave is over in a week" "great a week for you can watch me go off to work" Sara ordered folding her arms.
"Sara what are you doing here" Grissom questioned as he strolled into the break room holding assignments "waiting for an assignment" Sara ordered as Grissom raised an eyebrow looking to the Texan who smiled before sighing.
"I think someone got put on materiality leave" Catherine pointed out before the married couple looked at Grissom who was smirking.
"Well you best get my god daughter home" Grissom ordered as Nick rolled his eyes and grabbed his daughter. Pressing a kiss to his wife's head and waving goodbye to his friends and team mates.
"Damn girl you got that man whipped" Warrick declared causing Sara to smirk while Greg frowned "why can't you do one more week" Greg questioned as Sara smiled at him watching the exit her husband and daughter had taken.
"Because I can't… and because he can" Sara admitted before sighing "and that's why I love him" Sara added.

Believe it or not something like this happen to my sister and her husband... she always worked and worked up till the last month during her first pregnancy and once my nephew came along she suddenly found her self going crazy being all alone with the new born. Instead of going to my brother-in-laws work she went to the park with my nephew. I hope you like this lastest edition to the 'because' serise.
