This is actually something that I did for another pairing in my other posting sites. I decided to make it a Harry/Ginny oneshot. The names and a few small details were the only thing I changed other than that it's pretty much the same.
It's a bit sad but, please, forgive me and review on it.
Harry didn't know what to do anymore. With his elbows on his knees and hands on his head, he sat in the same spot on the bed as when his world shattered around him an hour ago.
Silence surrounded him. The shadows of the room seemed to be suffocating him. Memories of the past six years flashed through his mind. Ever single detail stood out to him as if they were lit by neon lights.
Nothing mattered anymore. She was no longer there to keep the darkness away. The minute she told him those words the light was sucked out of his world.
"I'm leaving." Ginny looked at him with the most serious face Harry ever seen her wear. Bags in her hands and a suitcase at her feet.
"Why?" Harry couldn't understand what was happening. He just came home expecting the usual loving greeting. But today he had wanted it to be special.
"I don't love you anymore."
Harry felt his heart tear out of his chest and bleed out on the floor.
Ginny left him. Never once looking back to see him one last time. Harry didn't know what he did wrong during the time they were together. If he could he would go back and change everything he did wrong so that the love that they shared would stay strong.
But nothing mattered anymore. He could do nothing to change what just happened.
"Please… don't go. Stay. I can change. I… I'll do anything but, please, don't go." Harry had begged. He even went on his knees and held onto Ginny's shirt.
Ginny pushed his hands away and stepped back. "Nothing you do can change what I feel. I don't love you anymore."
She turned away and walked out of the room. Harry stayed there on his knees, tears running down his cheeks as he saw his love leave. His eyes shut close when he heard the front door close with a bang.
Harry laid down on his back. The ceiling was blank just like his mind was slowly beginning to be. He didn't know how long he lay there tears slowly falling from his eyes. The sun slowly set outside and darkness filled the room. He didn't bother turning on the light. He welcomed the darkness after all that's all he felt inside. Not a spark of light could have been seen in him. His heart still lay on the floor.
Nothing mattered anymore. He felt nothing. No he felt one thing pain and emptiness seeping into ever centimeter of his body. His eyes no longer shined in the way they usually did. Ginny seemed to have taken everything with her, not just her belongings.
His hand grip a small box tightly. Lifting it up he slowly opened it and saw what he thought would be the next step. Inside was a silver ring that shined at him. Taunting him for what he lost. If he looked closely he could see their initials and the date they met engraved onto it. This was the ring that he specially asked for his special love.
A sad smile appeared on his face, a bitter chuckle resounded from him. Special... right... today was suppose to be special... today was the day he was finally going to propose to Ginny... To ask her to share the rest of her life with him... To grow old together... But...
not anymore...
Taking the ring out of the box he put it against his lips. Shutting his eyes once more tightly, he pulled it away and let him arm rest once more on the bed.
Nothing mattered anymore...
