"I'm all alone. what am I? Where is she?" a small smooth voice asked himself, the statement and questions bounced of the walls. The figure looked down and could see the shadowed outlines of four fingers.

"How long have I've been here? In this cave? every time i try to leave those creatures hurt and scream at me in fear and anger. I can kill them with a single swing of my tail, but then i'll be no better then them. I want to leave." The voice echoing in the cave. The boy got up and started walking for awhile until he saw a small light. He walked till he was a step outside. Blinking his eye's to get rid of the blindness the light gave him, he looked at his hand and saw four digits they where green while his forearms are purple, his feet have five digits that are a lighter shad of green than the top of his feet, his tail was a long bendable cylinder with a long, thick needle at the end. He was small, but he was older and a bit taller then what they call 'toddler'.

He remembered what the creatures kept calling him; freak, monster, abomination and many more be he never bothered to remember them. To him they are wired, they are pale and have layer's on, they also come in different shapes and sizes but they don't have anything special. He called himself what her gentle voice has called him in his dreams.

"AHHH it's him" Screamed what they call a 'woman', after the scream spread more of them came, some ran at me with metal sticks. As they were hitting him until he was unconscious, he couldn't help but see the dream that has plagued him ever since he could remember.

"4-4-1, pawn." a deeper voice of his would say

"6-5-1, knight." a warm voice replied in a caring tone

"2-7-2, new spy. Komugi, are you still there?" he said in a unsure voice.

"Yes, i sure am, I'm not going anywhere." She reassured him in a gentle voice. "4-5-1, lieutenant general." she said to continue the their game.

"That's checkmate." He said in a sad, defeated voice. "Komugi, are you still here?" he repeated in the same voice

"Yes, yes . . . Right here." Her comforting, caring voice reassured him again. "Let's play another match, the loser goes first." she said in a happy voice, she sounded like she loved the game they were playing.

"Komugi. . ." he said in a sad, and tired voice.

"yes? what is it?" she asked.

"It appears I never defeated you a single time." He said in his tired, and anguished voice.

"What are you saying? We've just gotten started!" Her excited, happy voice gripped his heart painfully

"Yes. . ." he replied in a pained voice. "1-5-1, marshal" he said as he placed the piece.

"9-5-1, marshal." she said as she placed hers.

"Komugi, are you still here?" He repeated again to the darkness.

"Yes, of course, it's your turn, Meruem." she reassured again in the same caring voice.

"I'm a little tired. . . I need to take a short nap." He said in a drowsy, pained voice as his eye lids became heavy. "Will. . . you hold my hand? Komugi?" he asked in a pained caring voice. "Komugi, are you there?" he repeated to her in a slight scared voice.

"I can hear you, I understand, Like this?" She said in her caring voice as she moved next to him to lay him down and hold his hand.

"I'll wake up shortly." he said to try to reassure her. "Will you stay by my side until i wake?" he asked in caring unsure voice.

"I've never left your side." she said "I'll always be here." she said in a loving voice as she used her other hand to 'see' his face.

"Komugi. . ." he said as he felt her hand on his face, he tried leaning into it but he couldn't move.

"Yes? What is it?" she asked as she leaned closer to him and kept her hand on his cheek.

"Thank you" he said in a tired, happy voice.

"You're welcome" she replied with a small smile on her face.

"Will you call me. . ."

"Yes?"

". . . by my name one last time" he ask so he could hear her beautiful, loving voice one last time, as a tear rolled down his face.

"Good night, Meruem. . ." she said in a loving voice with all she had to the one she loved, as she wiped a tear from his eye. "I'll be joining you, soon" she said as she felt her blood leave her mouth and nose, as she held him lovingly.

"BOOOOOM"

The boy now turned young man wiped his eye's, as the dream always left some every time he sees or think about it, turned his head to the side to see smoke rising from a ally that had a giant woman wearing what looked like a skin tight suit that is dark blue, orange and white. There was a crowed of people at the front of the ally, their was fire coming out of it before it was doused by the water hero.

He decided to have a look at what was happening, after leaping a few building tops before coming to a crouch at the edge of a building looking into the ally to find an interesting sight. In the ally was a sludge like being holding a teen with an explosive quirk, while quite a bit of hero trying to rescue the teen.

He watched for a few minutes seeing if the hero's can fix this mess, but it only made it bigger. He said one word that stopped the fighting.

"Pathetic" everyone stopped and looked at him, the hero's, the villain, and the crowed.

"How the hell are you calling pathetic, you da-?!" The sludge user yelled in rage as he towards Meruem, but the paused in fear as he felt his blood turn cold as ice when he stared at his bored impassive look, he imagined a lion behind Meruem, and he felt like an ant. The hero's were also interested that they forgot the sludge user let down his guard.

"You. . . and the hero's, they are narrow minded about their popularity and they don't have the right quirk that they don't think on HOW to take you down, and you for doing this in a crowded public place were it was easy to get caught." When Meruem finished explaining he had glares from some hero's, while others had looked on in shame, the villain took that as an insult and forgot about his fear.

"Oh YEAH! Well if your so hot shit why don't you try to save my skin suit then." The sludge man taunted as the teen struggled more, Meruem still had a look of boredom before he disappeared. Everyone looked around for him until they heard a pained noise.

"AHH" The sludge user yelled as he let go of the teen to cover his bleeding eye. Everyone looked in awe, and fear of what he did, they all see the tip of his tail that was covered in blood from the eye that it has pierced.

"They say the ones who talk big, has the weaker will and is the prey to the predator. So what will do you have? Are you going to fight to prove that you are not prey. or are you going to cower like the ant you are?" Meruem looked down at the sludge user with the same look. If the pile of sludge was honest with himself he was scared shitless when Meruem was wal- no stalking towards him! the image of a lion was getting bigger and bigger the closer he get's.

"G-g-get a-away f-from m-me y-y-you m-monster! I-i'll d-do a-anything! I-I'll even t-turn my s-s-self in!" The sludge use said frantically as he was sliding backwards to get away from this-this monster. He noticed that Meruem stopped and decided to run pass him towards the hero's.

"P-PLEASE TAKE ME! I'LL GO QUIETLY! JUST GET ME AWAY FROM HIM!" The walking puddle begged while grasping a hero's leg. Meruem had a small disappointed look before it disappeared as fast as it came. He started to walk towards the prone teen on the ground and grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up. This action gotten everyone's attention and just like that the happy people turned into frightful in an instant.

"Humm" was all Meruem said as he looked over the boy, all the hero's suddenly tensed when Meruem raised his tail and flicked the blood of it before moving it to be in front of what looked like the heart would be. Meruem pulled his tail back a bit to plunge it into the boy's chest, but before he could do that he felt something hit his back, and something trying to pull his tail back.

Meruem turned his head to the side a bit to see who was doing it, when he did he saw a girl with green hair with tears coming out of her eye's, and snot running out of her nose with a frighted face and shaky legs, trying her hardest to move his tail. His eye's widened a bit when he imagined a white hared girl with golden rings holding it up giving him a smile while some snot running down her nose, when he blinked she was gone.

"L-leave h-h-him a-alone!" She yelled while continuing her pulling of his tail. She intrigued him. She looked like she doesn't have any form of powers, yet she tried to stop him. He turned his head fully towards her and made her shacking intensified 10 fold, he looked at her for what she thought was forever, until he tilted his head to the side while looking into her eye's.

"Why are you doing this?" Meruem asked not looking away from her.

"I-I-I d-don't k-know m-m-my l-legs m-m-moved o-on t-t-their o-own! A-and h-h-his f-face l-looked l-l-like h-he w-was a-a-asking f-for h-help!" She said with what was on her mind as she dug her heels into the ground and pulled with all her might yet the tail never budged. Meruem looked at her in confusion, and said a statement the caused everyone to be confused.

"That is what I was trying to do." Meruem said while moving his head back straight. She was so confused that she asked what was on everyone's mind.

"W-what?"

"Their is a lot of liquid in his lung's, if i don't remove it he will die of suffocation. I was going to use my tail to get to his lung with minimal damage to drain it. It'll take to long for paramedics to make it though this crowd to save him in time." Meruem explained to her as her's and everyone else's eyes widen in realization of what he was trying to do.

"DON"T WORRY, FOR I AM HERE!" A strong voice comes out of no ware next to Meruem and the girl. He was a tall masculine man with two long spikes of hair that look like rabbit ears.

"I THANK YOU YOUNG LAD! IT IS A SHAME THAT WE COULDN'T SAVE A CHILD, BUT TWO OTHERS BEAT USE TO IT!" All Might said with his booming voice as he and some other hero's looked down before he raised his head to look at Meruem, who was still holding the victim by the throat.

"NO THEN, CAN I HAVE THE LAD YOU'RE HOLDING SO I CAN TAKE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL!?" All Might asked, Meruem looked at him with a neutral face before he turned to the girl still holding his tail, only All Might caught that Meruem's face lightened slightly towards her.

"You can let go now, or do you like holding my tail?" He asked her, she looked up at him for a bit in confusion before blushing red like a rose, she let go and jumped back a bit before stuttering apologize's. When she let go Meruem wrapped his tail around the teen in his hand, then moved him to the tall man. After that Meruem turned to look at the girl for a while.

"What is your name?" He asked towards her, All Might has already left to get the teen to the hospital. She looked stunned for a bit before saying her name.

"M-my n-name is Izumi Midoriya, c-can i h-have your n-name? P-please" She answered/ask while blushing and looking down, not brave enough to look at him after what happened. After a minute he answered her question, that set of a chain of reactions for the future.

"My name is Meruem." He said before diapering away from everyone.
