A/N: Written for the Sailor Moon Flash Bingo, #055 – forgotten.

the strings of fate

their ties are a backdrop of pale white ribbons
on a grey canvas that steals
that faint drops of colour away

because there is no moon left that shines
as bright as the pearl bracelet on her slender wrist
dripping blood

and there's no earth that conceals
like his cape, torn to shreds by vicious fangs
and soaked with moondew and poison

and their blood, that red splash that stole those
intricately laid threads that spelt their fate
and now the ribbons are lost, hidden

but they're still there, slowly turning white
as the backdrop goes black;
one day, they'll remember themselves again.
