Note: Alice is a Torchic and Loz (me) is a Mudkip. This is my first story, and it's a one- shot, so I hope you like it!
Alice and I were marching from Temporal Tower, our spirits high from just being told by Dialga that we had successfully restored time. However, our happiness was short lived as my own disappearance was drawing closer. Alice, who was skipping, almost dancing in front of me had no idea what was about to happen.
Suddenly my legs grew heavy and it became difficult to walk. Alice turned around as I let out a sigh.
"Loz? What's going on? We need to-" she was cut off as a tiny bubble of light came from my body, floated upwards, and disappeared only to be replaced by more in a continuous cycle.
"What is happening to you Loz?"
"I'm sorry Alice. I kept this to myself for a while. It appears, I must say goodbye." I struggled to keep my voice even. It was hard to stay standing, I was being crushed but was it just by gravity?
"What? Goodbye?! Why?" Alice whimpered.
"I was told, while you were at the Rainbow Stone ship, that if we restored time, the Pokémon of the future would disappear." My eyes became blurred as tears began to form.
"But Loz, don't you understand? I can't live with out you!" Tears were now streaming out of Alice's eyes.
"No Alice, you must go home and live! Tell everyone what happened in the Hidden Land." I wanted to cry too but I had to be strong for Alice. If I cried we would both fall apart. I didn't want my last moments with Alice to be sad ones.
"Loz, you are the more important than anything else. To me you're everything!" The lights were becoming brighter and more frequent. I was running out of time. My time with Alice was fading.
"Alice, I feel the same way! I am truly the luckiest Pokémon in the world to have known you. I am going to disappear from here now, but I will never forget you."
"Loz! No! Please don't go! Don't leave me alone. I don't want to be alone again." Alice threw herself at me, she was in hysterics. I could feel her body trembling as my arms wrapped around her one last time.
"Goodbye Alice..." My vision turned white from the little bubbles of light and I disappeared. However, before I did I heard one last thing from Alice.
"Why Loz? Why did you have to disappear?"
It was then, in my dying moments, that I realised that gravity was not the only thing that was pushing me against the planet.
It was the thought of losing Alice.
